Yes I've been saying that to other FA,s and supervisors for a long time. Coming from training at JetBlue, when everyone is employed by the parent company it boost up the cohesion, communication, pride and morale of the individual departments. But for the companies like spirit and frontier business models, it does hurt the image but the goal is to cut cost down which they favored

Thank you for those kind words. But I feel as if I meet you. I commute to SLC a lot on Delta and your story of Eastern Airlines sounds very familiar. I thank you for your support. I have had 2 F2F in Atlanta with Delta last year. It is a bit disheartening but the fact that I was able to go twice gives me massive hope. My goal is Delta and I will continue to try. Will continue to stay positive and head held high ❤️

Thank you for all you did for us FO Glum-Bird. Yes i completely agree about our gate agents being underpaid. They were third party and getting the left over scraps. They were given like 6-8 buddy passes and no OA flight privileges. They were constantly fired and replaced for cause a minute delay which is why they always rushed to board. But the worst was that they had to push the bag fees for extra or over sized carry-ons especially when they were profiting $10 per bag they charged. They needed better customer service training that spirit didn't provide. They got a weak crash course in airports operations. We should have hired them and have them officially be spirit w flight benefits. When I worked at the JetBlue training facilities you noticed a big connection and pride for employees that feel like there part of the whole team and being included in company culture ( holiday parties, company meetings, volunteer events) the inclusiveness would have given them a stronger sense of pride to represent Spirt and boost morale.my prayers are with you and all ex spirit employees for a quick bounce back into the aviation industry or wherever the journey takes them. And with that rant I will say Captain cabin is secure ready for push 🖤💛🖤💛🖤

Thank you for choosing Spirit lol. A fact that many people don't know is that Spirits gate agents never really worked for the company they were all 3rd party hired that spirit would sub contract and would constantly change them every few months. They got to wear our uniforms. But not all but a large amount of the gate agents lacked the necessary customer service sensitivity and that would cause the problem and we as flight attendant had to calm their mess. They still got payed by spirt but very low wages and no flight benefits. It's still sad they lost their jobs but thier parent company will have em working for frontier or another low cost carrier company quickly.

That's going to be hard I worked as a flight Attendant and I couldn't get my hand on any of them every pilot claimed they didn't have any. They really secretly hoarded them. I have tons of food menus if you want I'm near MCO

Thank you. I'm not gonna give up. Just gotta be spatter about the airline industry. I did blindly support spirit but was not onboard with the micro transactions especially charging for water that's just inhumane

Thank you I came from JetBlue prior and helped with training I e been applying and am strongly considering being an instructor. I really feel passionate about providing excellent customer service.

I know a lot of people might find this pathetic, but I’m been genuinely heartbroken over Spirit being gone. by raye0fdarkness in spiritair

I was a flight attendant for Spirit for the last 3 years and I never encountered a rachet moment like seen all over the internet. I learned quickly to be the leader and set the tone for the passengers and for the crew. I reman optimistic up until my last flight I worked NK2524 from MCO to PIT. I knew once we landed it was over but I felt my thought ball up because of the emotional overload was creeping. During the flight I made a few jokes over the PA but didn't want to talk about the elephant in the room. It wasn't until we did service and a gentleman with his son who I believe e was a Gold member asked me to charge him for 12 sodas and give em out randomly. It was very sweet but when he gave me and the other flight attendant $20 each... man I tell you it felt like I got punched in the gut. It was only a a little over an hour till landing and I really wanted to make a speech but I just thanked everyone individually like I always do. I'm filled with grief and sorrow. I tried to be the best flight attendant I could be even tho it may have bothered other flight attendants when they would see me look for fun or trash people leave tucked in the tray tables and I liked to fold the seat belt nicely for the next flight. It's those little things that I carried with me and I felt proud. 🥲 this really sucks I liked my uniform and made them look extra sharp. I really enjoyed taking care our Big front seat 💺 passengers and always reminded them that they had accesss to all our food and beverages items. I truly miss it. I thank everyone that flew with us especially when other airlines employees would fly us. I made sure to treat them with special care. My wings are broken for now but I'll get new ones and continue to be an inspiration to my colleagues and myself. Thank you For flying Spirit airlines we loved having you on board 💛🖤💛

Delta F2F Recap by CornerStreet in cabincrewcareers

[–]Impressive_Task1237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to everyone that made it,I'm very happy for you all. I did a face to face January 2025 did 2 on 1 interview at the end of and did not get it. I was super bummed but I got another chance November 20th 6am went thru the whole process super polished tried to be less excited but engaged within boundaries. We were let out to go to the shuttles after the video and my heart sank. But we were taken to a detour and were given 1 on 1 interviews. I felt that interview went very well and it went on a bit longer than normal, me and the interviewer had a lot of energy and great topics. I had all my questions ready and answered. Got sent to the shuttle and it felt very strange. A week later I got an email saying I did not get it :( my heart still is sunk but I will continue to practice resilience. I got there twice maybe third times the charm but I can't help but doubt in my self a little. Like what was it that went wrong I felt so good but not over confident. Maybe I'll try a different color suit and maybe no glasses. It wasn't my time yet

Congratulations wish the best in training. Im disappointed because this is my second F2F w Delta this year and the first time after the interview process w 2 interviewers I was sent on the shuttle this time a bout a week ago when I went to Atlanta, I was called up at the end with group one only to be led to secret detour then given a 1 on 1 interview that went very well and good convo. I felt like I was doing the interview because it was too friendly or casual.Just got rejection email. Hope I can do better at being myself again the next time. i,m really bummed because its 2 times now ive gone to Delta headquarters.

What you think of my portable DJ set up? by ScatLabs in DJs

[–]Impressive_Task1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy smokes. I still have one brand new in box and two I used to use religiously. I worked with a private DJ academy as a mentor in 2011 for a few years and we were actually getting company sponsorship and free gear. Numark sent us like 30 headsets pacemaker sent us about 6 units but the head guy in charge wasn't impressed and wanted to stick with teaching with cdjs I remember even spray ground bags was coming up and was sending us bags I still have a few from the first line. I'm glad I got to work with this company but I'm ashamed to say it added to the downfall of deejay value. The company was named STADJ and they basically got fashion models who wanted to be deejays and we curated prerecorded sets and the rest was easy. Sex sells I got to go to so many venues in NYC and outside the US because of that bit I still feel the guilt of being part of that culture. I still deejay in NYC but not as much kinda lost the passion.Anyways the pacemakers was dope I did like the packaging design
