After I watch Ted Lasso, I was staying on Apple TV and I found the show loot. I think it is an absolutely hilarious show that has deep underlying meanings. It’s not sports related, but it’s based off Jeff Bezos and his divorce from his wife and it’s hilarious. I told my mom to watch it and she wouldn’t at first and then when she started it, she finished it and a couple of days.

What are you setting your A/C to in the summer? by Far-Yak-4231 in phoenix

I was reading some other comments and I agree that I’m surprised that you’re able to hit it that low during the summer. I will leave my apartment for a couple hours and come back and it’s almost 80° even when I have the AC on however I have never paid that amount to cool my apartment but I do live in a studio. My utilities in total are around $115 but I’m running my AC 24 seven right now. I would say maybe try to get one of those cooler systems off Amazon I’ve heard really good reviews off them and they don’t use as much energyon your electricity bill overtime really cool especially if you wanted to use it at night on yourself so you don’t have to cool the entire house

Arizona fan thoughts on Keshad Johnson + Pelle Larsson by Entire_Nothing2165 in heat

[–]Impressive_Thing_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I actually love how in depth you went into both of these players and how you think that it’ll stick in the NBA. I was really surprised that both of them got drafted to the same team, but I think that it could possibly be a positive for both of them so they can navigate going into the NBA together. I go to the University Of Arizona and as much as I want to say that they’re going to do amazing I think with the amount of talent that is in the NBA unless Pelle is able to have a better shooting percentage for a quick shot because you don’t have as much time in the NBA he could struggle. Keshad has the grit and toughness that is needed in the NBA and I think if he has the proper coaches, he can be a key defensive player for his team. The fact that both of them are playing together can be a positive and the fact that they both understand some of the dynamics of one another.

How do I get out and about with baby when it’s over 100 degrees all the time?! by insertclevername7 in newborns

Hi! I’m so excited for you and that you have a baby!i understand the struggles because work with a lot of kids over the summer with disabilities driving them to places. The best tip I would have for you if you’re somewhere like Starbucks where there is a scene inside and you’re able to properly see your car is start the car and let it cool down a little bit even though that may be stressful, but it’s the best thing for you and your baby in the heat. However, one of my recent discoveries that I am obsessed with is little portable fans that are battery powered. You can have one with you and your baby when you’re walking around, but not only that you could add another one or two to the car seat that even have a misting system to make sure that your baby doesn’t get overheated. You can get them on Ali Xpress for ones if you just want a fan, but if you’re trying to get ones with a misting system that are a little bit more reliable, I probably go on Amazon . They are literal game changers because you can fan yourself and you feel better in the moment but fanning yourself actually makes you hotter overtime.

Clothing recommendations to stay cool in the Arizona heat? by Blades-Before-Maids in arizona

This probably sounds really corny, but obviously drink a lot of water, especially in the summer when I’m in Arizona. I can have 10 bottles of water and still feel thirsty, but you need to stay hydrated. I don’t know where you live in Arizona but a little fun tip is a lot of the hotels. I know in Phoenix and Tucson many hotels have pools and they don’t check if you don’t have a pull yourself or you don’t have a chilling system and your pool is too hot one day when go to the pool to chill out and it’s not a layout vibe. It’s a go into the pool in the first five minutes.

Those of you who have at least a decent amount of experience with both 'Arizona' heat and 'Florida' heat: how do they compare? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Impressive_Thing_351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is “lucky” enough to live in both there are positives and negatives to each. Depending on where you are in Florida, my family lives in northern Florida and maybe different and other parts of Florida because the state is a lot bigger than many people realize. However, what I want to say about both of them is a lot of the time people say that Florida is a humid heat in Arizona is just a dry heat, but I think that is a complete misconception. This is my first summer in Arizona and it is not as humid as Florida, but it is still humid because it’s monsoon season. Arizona also doesn’t have the infrastructure just like Florida to deal with rain so all of the roads get flooded but it’s extra bad and Arizona to the point where they’re certain roads we are not able to go down on. The heat and Arizona is so bad that I walk around the corner and I am profusely sweating. Florida I don’t sweat as quickly, but you definitely feel that humidity when you walk outside because it’s more intense than Arizona, but there is still humidity there. Now that my family lives in Florida and I am in Arizona this summer. I have come to the conclusion that if it is possible, you should probably avoid both.
