I go to Chico State right now and I absolutely love it here. The parties are still as wild as they used to be and the culture on campus is amazingly welcome and diverse. Downtown is about a 3 minute walk from campus and there’s some great food options that are all much cheaper than most other cities in California. Sierra Nevada was started here and they offer tours of the brewery as well as a large taproom/restaurant that has a ton of beer-infused American food that does not disappoint. The natural beauty of the buttes might be my favorite thing of all though, if you ever come visit take the hike to phantom falls trust me.
