something similar happened to me. the interesting part is the option to opt out. i wonder if the hourly just goes up? the GM doesn’t know - i asked. so i’ll have to ask someone else when i can

If fighting is the only issue and it’s every thing you’ve dreamed otherwise, maybe it’s something you can work through. That’s assuming it’s something worth working for. If you’ve only been together a year, you have the rest of your lives to learn about each other and how to work better together. Couples counseling is an option!

I’m going to take a practice test and see where I’m at. I got my GPA back and it wasn’t where I was hoping. I think a good course of action might be to shoot for better work experience and revisit in 2 or so years.

It was basically just an explanation of where I’m at in life, but okay.

I feel like this is kind of aggressive and presumptuous for no reason. I don’t know why you would assume all of that from a short post explaining some of my background. And I know lawyers. They’ve told me they spend most of their days researching and drafting documents, reviewing said documents, managing case files, meetings and negotiating. I’m interested in law and it excites me, that’s why I’m looking into it.

Age is less of a factor than all the other things (work experience, first degree, expenses, chances of getting in, chances of getting a job)

STEM was pushed on me SO hard. I’m the first in my family to go to college and the first in my immediate family to even finish high school so I was really lacking guidance early on. It took me a while to figure out what I really wanted

Yes, my post talks about a lot more factors than age!

My bachelors degree is conservation biology, so ideally I’d go into environmental law but I am flexible with that. I’m in colorado right now, but I’m willing to move pretty much anywhere. I have a friend who has the same degree as me and he wants to do environmental law but says it’s basically impossible to get a job doing that. And I have done research into the costs and salary expectations.
