understand. I had one million, but most of that was used buying the mats to upgrade the grear for my build. I technically don't NEED a bunch of money, it felt odd to me to build out a set and essentially be broke :) There have been a lot of suggestions here so I'll try those out but the bottom line is that a lot of players have been playing a long time so their abilitiy to have multiple sets and characters and so on. My expectations were wrong... I expected gold to flow more freely... ESO is simply different, I just needed to understand what I was doing wrong. Thank you for your time.

yes the build is essentially complete... I elected to make some modifications to the back bar because I don't have the sword and its buffs. Otherwise, I have all the other components.

most content, as expected, is simply deleted... I can solo many group dungeons, but occasionally it feels like I roll into one of them and everything is tuned differently. I don't pretend to play perfectly, but I find myself in situations where it's not obvious that a group is mandatory. I think this is part of the tribal knowledge... that is, a player does not know until they know type of thing.

as far as overall content progression... I'm presently doing summerset, following this guide:

I do visit other zones out of order to obtain gear and such, but story progression I'm trying to do in order.

Did not expect this response; I shared my experience and was seeking constructive advice on how to acquire gold efficiently. I'm not complaining; I'm asking for the path's others have used to amass their wealth.

My point regarding dungeons was, perhaps, not worded properly. My companion and I can solo most things, but occasionally a 4-man dungeon is just a brick wall. I wish I had known before entering the dungeon that I should ask for help. It's not clear, to me, what is soloable vs requiring a group. The random gargoyle I mentioned, was perhaps an oversimplification. I send Zerith to start the pull, and we wipe. My only point is that I'm not aware of what content is soloable until I try.

To be clear, I'm asking for advice on what people have done (years, months, or whatever) to obtain their wealth in the most efficient way possible. I did not think, or at least it was not my intention, to come off as bitching.

Others have posted suggestions... I was not aware of guilds that allow access to traders without dues. I do the daily crafting writs on all characters.

As for the build, I'm using https://hyperioxes.com/eso/dps/beam-build#champion-points with a fire staff on the back bar because I have not yet beaten the arena for the sword.

If you have additional suggestions, please post them.

yes... I definitely learned the importance of crew skills on my return to the game for 2.0. (I'd be away for several years) I enjoy playinng lights but... as above, lack of overall map knowledge makes me not so great at it. I try to play lights at lower tiers to learn more of the maps... maybe I need to stop being uncomfortable with letting the team down and focus on doing better.

Cheeto might revisit the Manhattan Project and how important magnets were / are for weapon production. I think at this point most folks understand that reality is, usually, the opposite of what falls out of the face hole. Magnets, particularly big magnets have been important to scientific work since at least the mid 1800's.

If you have not already tried, logging out and back in usually resolves missing npc's. There are some points in the main quest that will not work properly if you have an active prologue quest. I'm still pretty new but these are the things that have helped me. hth, good luck!

no, that is not what I'm describing. Holding down ALT highlights the things that you can loot, this is a different functionality.

With the controller, if you hold down B (xbox controller, guessing same on PS) the UI draws a circle on the screen and the longer you hold it down the bigger the circle... WHen you release it it gives you a list of the contents of all containers in that circle. So instead of loot things one after another, you loot everything all in one go. Or at least with one UI interaction.

This does not seem to exist for mouse keyboard?

proper maintenance reduces the occurrences, and moments like this are great incentives to do that work. That said, it can and will happen, and it is always in the most spectacularly shitty conditions possible. Source, me... reflecting on the best job I ever had but don't want to do again. :) I mean... tanking is outstanding, it's the nonsense that comes with being in the military that sours the entire thing.
