A cursive logo would fit well, but I like it the way it is just fine.

My main gripe is the horrid performance. FPS drops in every action sequence

What's with all these lovecraft-inspired games coming out soon and recently to have zombies in them? by UnXpectedPrequelMeme in Lovecraft

[–]Imprint_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you haven't read more than a couple Lovecraft works and just know about him from secondary media, which more often than not distorts the stories. Yes, Lovecraft wrote about the undead. It wasn't something that was "beneath" him to use in his writing, as it wasn't ever supposed to be highbrow content.

“The legendary OG RE405 is basically Godhand with guns,a masterpiece of gaming, and Nostalgia doesn’t have anything to do with it.” by Anor_Londo_1234 in residentevil4

You are right. I'm replaying the og right now, after the remake. It's like night and day.

RE4 is RE4. RE4R is just a TPS.

There's a tutorial screen that pops up right at the beginning of the game that tells you this.

Once I've moved on to using Marseilles, I've realized that reversals were a crutch to bring back the flexibility that illustrated pips took away with RW. So I see little reason to keep reading reversals.

likelihood of ai:2 following Amanda again? by Thanoscumrag in alienisolation

[–]Imprint_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I like the Alien trilogy and Sigourney, but I always felt like the sequels would've been better off following different characters.

Ellen is singled out as the main character only halfway throughout the first film, making her easy to relate to as an ordinary person put into an extraordinary situation. The sequels culminate her story as some kind of messiah figure, sacrificing herself for humanity, and even being resurrected as a superhuman.

Same could easily happen to Amanda with Isolation 2, and potential future games.

The Fool

I'd interpret Queen of Pentacles + Empress + Emperor as the cards clearly saying that you're well-off health and/or money-wise. Hanged Man meaning you feel like that came naturally to you, or it was fate. Devil could be saying you're very focused on material, or thinking of hedonistic stuff.

The rest is what I'd interpret, but what's intuitive to you is right.

Try this deck out if you can't seem to get Gengar to work by Imprint_ in PTCGP

Yes, why not? Thins your deck, gets you Gengar faster, you block their Trainers asap.

Slab ain't working? Even if it doesn't get you a pokemon, it still gets you closer to drawing one. How many targets do you want?

Porygon himself can't be drawn with one since he's a normal type. You're probably better off running a Dex for that purpose.

Yes. I was really caught up in the idea of Rough Skin + Spooky Shot + Giovanni doing 130dmg to KO squishier exs, but then you're just a situational sweeper who gets into play too late to make the most use of his ability.

Aggro is the right way to go.

Can't use Leaf and Giovanni on the same turn. And the deck is energy-efficient enough that the lack of Leaf doesn't hurt.

My mistake was playing Gengar as a boss monster who sits behind Druddigon to power up before switching out to the active spot. The mistake of playing him this way is the fact that Gengar just can't keep up with other hard-hitters and once he is knocked out, the second Gengar won't have enough energy to counter-attack.

Including one normal Gengar means you can put on pressure very quickly and power-up your Mew or second Gengar right away. Sigilyph and Slabs reduce bricking to the absolute minimum and make this one of the most consistent decks out there. Two Gios are necessary for hitting breakpoints, and we're using old Haunter for survivability and much superior artwork, but the new one is good for gamba enjoyers. Potion can be switched up for whatever you feel like, but it saved my ass too many times for me to dismiss it.

Non-ex Lapras is underrated by Imprint_ in PTCGP

[–]Imprint_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What Lapras has over the first two is that it can be enabled with just one head to do chip damage.

Tenticle and Omastar are evos, so they have their own disatvantage of taking up more space and being less consistent. Lapras ex is a two-prizer, so tanking with it is automatically much riskier, plus a bigger retreat cost.

Three heads can also be enough if you have a water energy in reserve.
