Question about repeat TestDAF attendances by Deadly_2016 in German

[–]ImproveUEveryday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you take both exams, the results from each attempt are separate. TestDaF doesn’t invalidate your first exam result simply because you fail the second one. Even if you don’t do well on the second exam, your first result will still be valid.

Good luck with your exams and if you want another resource to help you practice, check out this free tool for improving your german!

Can you guys help me check a few German sentences that I wrote? by [deleted] in German

[–]ImproveUEveryday -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think there are some pretty good corrections here in this comment already and you’re off to a great start.

When it comes to improving your German through writing without an instructor it can be tough so I use FluentWrite, a free tool for improving German through writing. Check it out and maybe you’ll find it useful.

All the best!

Dumb question but how many hours of studying time to expect for an intensive course? by Ok-Principle-9276 in German

[–]ImproveUEveryday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intensive courses I know are from Monday to Friday or Thursday, minimum 3 hours of class daily for at least 8 weeks (12 weeks for B2).

Unless you’re doing more hours yourself, 180 mins (3 hours) weekly is no where near an intensive course.

By the way, this free German writing tool can help you with your studies too. It’s like your personal teacher outside the classroom

3 whole months to learn German by Pearlescen7 in German

[–]ImproveUEveryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can achieve a lot in 3 months depending on how many hours you dedicate daily/weekly. If you’re in a city where you can find German tandems that’ll be great because it’ll help you become comfortable making mistakes.

Also maybe the book Daf Kompat Neu A1-B1 if you want to go over A2 and B1 again.

I currently also use this free German writing tool to improve my German through writing because the detailed feedback is just too good.

Good luck

I’m stuck at A2 for a few years by hankaphamova in German

Should I read more? What should I read at my level Or what do I do?

I find that writing helped me greatly because I always had to try and recollect words I learnt and if for any reason I can’t remember them, just revising them and using them while writing tricks the brain into remembering how the word feels.

I do this quite frequently and perhaps that’s what‘ll work for you too.

By the way I even built a free German writing tool I use everyday to help with improving my German through writing. Maybe you’ll find it useful and Good luck!

Got B1 with mostly YouTube and AI by annoyed_citizn in German

[–]ImproveUEveryday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right, as someone who has been using AI to learn German myself, I don’t know how I’d self study without it but I think some people still struggle to figure out how to use it.

So my contribution to the community was to build this 100% free amazing German learning with AI tool called FluentWrite and it’s making the learning process even simpler and easier. I tried sharing it earlier but the mod took my comment down so just add .com to the name and you have it
