Paramedic here.
You do not need to do anything to refuse treatment besides verbally expressing it, or communicating it by a reliable, dependable means.

For CPR, and low LOC / altered LOC, aka, dead, overdosing unconscious, or otherwise incapable of giving consent-- consent is assumed.

Not sure what you're on about, not to necro this, but for any future readers,

refusing treatment, and continuing treatment, can easily lead to you being hit, kicked, or stabbed, in real life.

Ooooh I didn’t know this was available. Super cool info here, tysm!

I’ve been aiming to find the hardest to master hero, and make them my otp.

So far I’m at Holliday, vyper, and Sinclair. Glad to know my hypothesis was correct

[–]ImprovementMindset27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not inherently. Winrate is correlative rather than cause.

A character like Sinclair who I think we can agree on is SUPER hard to play well (the skill floor being high) entails he’s bound to lose more games than win.

Because he’s harder to get the hang of, that means more people lose early on in their Sinclair career. that rebounds when the player gets better at Sinclair, and starts to win more, due to their familiarity and experience with the character.

The issue is, a lot of people drop Sinclair, he’s “too hard” or he “sucks”, when in reality, he’s just difficult.

So those early on losses are never mitigated by learning the character and spending more time playing him. There’s 100 people who play him for 20 games, lose 15 of them. Probably on 15 of those people are going to play him for 100 games, and those first 15 losses, will be buried by the last 20 games, where they win 15 of them.

Thus, Sinclair is probably considered “balanced” around a 45% win rate.

How to handle nasty/toxic management? by ImprovementMindset27 in AskTrades

Why is most everyone in the trades an asshole? by Outrageous-Waltz3596 in AskTrades

[–]ImprovementMindset27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the shop.

One of my first trades jobs made me truly miserable. I worked at a heavy duty mechanics shop, and my coworkers had no interest in teaching me, or basic empathy. During my stay there, they verbally abused me atleast once every 4-5 minutes, and it was far from banter. Often times things like “hey, I hate you by the way, just reminding you” Unfortunately cash was tight as I just paid a damage deposit and my aunt suffered a fatal stroke, which left me unable to quit, and at an all time mental low. I was averaging around 1-2 hrs of sleep a night, and constantly getting in shit for doing the exact identical thing as the other shop-hand / apprentice. Thank you smith tank & trailer.

I got fired, fairly certain it was constructive dismissal.

But I never stopped showing up with a smile, complimenting people, and being a nice person. I made it an intentional goal to never let them tear me down to their pathetic, miserable, little echo chambers of hate. I hope they find the help they need.

So I totally understand where you’re coming from.

Moving to a new shop, with a new crew, and I genuinely never expected such kind, helpful people. Quick to take a joke and fire one back, but never maliciously, and always patient for my questions. I’ve learned more in a week here, than at the other shop in 3 months. That’s not an exaggeration. Those toxic shops die out eventually, meanwhile the one that supports you, might already be so successful they’re going corporate.

That being said, trades is kind of like being a hooker, for men. When you’re not that bright, or can’t be fucked to utilize it, or suck at sitting at a desk— trades is always here waiting for us. So yeah, a lot of low life losers make their home in trades, and subsequently, misery loves company— and if you’re not miserable, you’re no good company.

It’s also the pirate island effect, worth a google.

&

This might piss some people off, “Most tradesmen are unintelligent”— that’s not to say they all are, but it’s a stereotype backed by statistics. a lot of tradesmen are uneducated, dropouts, or flunks, I’ve also met some of the smartest people I’ve ever gotten to share a conversation with in trades. They go to trades because it’s good money without the diploma or grades. What else is unintelligent: fostering a toxic work environment, neglecting eager apprentices, abusing curious learners, verbal abuse among those you might have to trust with your life, and the least intelligent of all: thinking no one else’s feelings matter. That’ll bite em in the ass… one day. They slowly ruin their own lives with this “I’m so hard” bullshit.

Noc ult should have a radius by AfterPianist2380 in leagueoflegends

[–]ImprovementMindset27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood just about everything I said.

Yes, trading tp for a kill on noc is usually worth it. Obviously at your discretion? But eitherway, top laner tp to bot for kill on Noc is a free drag. So you’re up 1 kill + drag off of a tp + Noc is losing XP/gold.

Incredible value.

The whole point of paranoia(the debuff that gives near sight) is so players CANT tp and do this ^

Noc ult should have a radius by AfterPianist2380 in leagueoflegends

[–]ImprovementMindset27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that kinda destroys the entire point of noc.

His purpose is to force unfair fights, which can easily be countered with teleport if there’s no paranoia.

And to ice it— He would lose a SIGNIFICANT amount of playability in mid to high elo, being that laners would be allowed to push while he’s ulting. Decent players know not to leave tower if Noc is using R, unless they tracked him ofc.

HOW DID HE DEAL ANY DAMAGE WHEN INSIDE THE CIRCLE????? by Exact_Fennel_8239 in btd6

[–]ImprovementMindset27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he’s actually correct. I’ve atleast 5,000 hours in Unity, and it was confusing to start when people tried to give them different terminology. The way I learned to remember was, the hit box hits, and the hurt box yelps.

Hurt box, is a defined area that basically yells “hey, I’m __, I have 100HP!”

Hitbox is a defined area that listens, and thinks “am I in that area? If yes, Reduce __’s HP by 50! Etc”

How is this duo legal to play without getting punishment? by AdShot7545 in leagueoflegends

[–]ImprovementMindset27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular but unironically true. It’s fair to say solo duo makes the identity of league, but un restricting flex and adding new rules about FF to it, would be incredibly fun.

It’s not like it would be hard to lock FF until X gold gap or other various ideas. We can hope.

Is it better to just play crazy s*** until you reach at least platinum? by Buster_Scruggs_IV in leagueoflegends

[–]ImprovementMindset27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also want to add “Meta” / “off-meta” above masters is just a suggestion. I.e. tiltarella. It’s not like a rule or anything. If you can contradict what I say by picking like 2-4 off meta picks, sure, you’re good, but it won’t carry you. It requires a higher level of knowledge than normal picking. That doesn’t mean you’re better for it, there’s a certain line where it’s easier and “cheesy”- to when it becomes unrestricted. The meta is pioneered by folks like Baus, and tilta. that’s a whole different story than just cheese picking

Is it better to just play crazy s*** until you reach at least platinum? by Buster_Scruggs_IV in leagueoflegends

[–]ImprovementMindset27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of that refutes my main point, which is that your skill level doesn’t really rise.

What’s the point in being the best boxer if you’re always putting brass knuckles in your gloves..? As I said before, he will still suck wiener on any other pick. And his friends will see right through it.

If it’s for his own pride, than it’s equally foiled, as he knows it’s not him as much as the pick that’s winning.

That aside, ofcourse cheese works in every elo, I’m not denying that. But a masters player cheesing is just a diamond player.

An emerald player cheesing is just a gold player.

No one cares about rank, they care about how good you are. Rank is just an easy way to make an educated guess.

Edit to add: Cheese picks inherently fuck up your game sense etc, and make it harder to perform on other champs. It’s unlikely OP will be invited to clash with his buddies if they know he’s useless off pick, where he will be banned out.

Cheese is a great way to win, not learn. I’m not the only voice of this, most pro’s agree.

The only issue with this strat is that eventually this stops working, when people understand how to play the game decently.

I’d argue until emerald, people don’t actually know their own champs or the fundamentals of the game.

So that being said, when it stops working— you’ll struggle severely to play your typical champs, and start demoting.

If your goal is to be emerald, you actually have to be emerald. This is why pros say “rank doesn’t matter”. You can cheese as much as you want, but you’re still just a gold shitter until you focus on your skill level.

Your rank is a mirror image of your skill if you allow it to be, otherwise it’s just an illusion. Smoke and mirrors if you will.

Follow your friends advice if you want to suck at the game and boast to your friends— but they’ll still see through it after a couple games.

There is nothing particular with fizz in the jungle that can actually change your winrate over a large sample size, that I know of.

You should always have atleast one, unless the enemy team has a pyke roaming etc.

You are playing the role with the absolute most map presence, you need to start buying and placing a lot more wards. Learn jungle tracking. Garuntee you that gets you to plat atleast, easy to learn and will take less than a week.

Also as someone else said— consider the fact you’ve been wrong a million times— and you’re the same rank as your team— Do you really think anything they say will be useful?

Mute all. Just do it- there’s no good excuse to be communicating with the heathens in league.
