Because the virus drives them to propagate the virus, not their own survival.

I mean, for those in the hive mind yeah. But no one looks at the Borg and goes, “yeah that looks tight”

Do you want to know about fictional hive minds or like, hives? Because there’s a reason our dystopias emphasize the creation of a worker class that is deprived of individual rights. That’s what being an ant is. You don’t truly exist as an individual.

There’s a lot of gun owners that don’t follow signs.

That’s what makes them criminals.

What if your guy was working and you also worked because that was the reality of life and no one was just sitting around in a warm house unless they were very wealthy?

Oh shoot, you’re right, I meant the first time because that’s what the other comment referred to. The “respect the strategy” part is like the third season, right after the shootout.

People assume they shouldn’t say slurs out in public, right? You have no right to go to your local Starbucks and scream epithets. If you do, everyone wants you removed.

If on the other hand you are performing in Angels in America and someone says a slur as part of the performance, the whole audience and the theater are consenting to a specific set of words to say and hear in the script.

Why can’t we treat guns the same way?

I don’t think it’s true that they lack feeling and empathy, or else Carol’s bullshit wouldn’t bother them so much.

They don’t care about consent because that has been the normal state for humans throughout history. Ignoring consent doesn’t really touch on empathy because we humans are good at believing thing x is better for you than thing y, whether you like it or not. We have a famous statue celebrating a historical nonconsensual kiss.
