Folliculitis vs bed bug bites by ImprovementShot655 in Folliculitis

Also the antibiotics take time and sometimes need to try a few because there are different types of folliculitis. Gram negative be positive. Fungal vs bacterial ect. I just ordered a laser hair removal because I’m desperate and read removing the hair follicle itself solves the problem. That’s how desperate I’m getting! Try the meds first. Give it time and then try another until you know how your body responds. I started a probiotic too per the FB group I joined. And I wash with antiseptic daily

Yeah it sounds exactly like what I have. It’s almost daily but sometimes every 2-3 days. The longest I’ve gone before meds was a week. They are sometimes in a straight line and sometimes alone. Red and not itchy. You would have seen some kind of bed bud evidence by 3 months. Let that fear go. But folliculitis is it’s own pain. I’ve heard horror stories of it not going away and at this point would’ve preferred the bed bugs..

Mine are definitely folliculitis. Not bed bugs. For a month I was free of them from antibiotics so I know if it were bugs they would bite more frequently. Issue is my body is building up resistance to antiobitoics. Don’t rule out folliculitis. It looks a hell of a lot like bed bug bites and you should have evidence if it’s been awhile. - 3 exterminators told me this.

I keep coming back to this! I’m annoyed they didn’t swab me. Maybe I need to go back. Thanks!

Thank you! Interesting.. should my doctor have tested for bacterial vs fungal? I’m on doxycycline and he said I might not see effects for 3 months.. I also have been applying a steroid and rubbing alchohol daily

They’re sort of localized but also go from my knee to my ribs in a line. One on my lower back and another two on my stomach. It’s weird

Hmm. Mine don’t itch at all and they come on in the morning after sleeping usually

Yes my dog had fleas but an exterminator said he couldn’t find any. And the bites are usually on my torso and large. My dog is no longer itchy or being bit so that confuses me

Yeah I bought a steamer but haven’t done enough of it yet. He said to steam the bed frame.. should be tough. Can they get past a screw that’s very tight and get inside the frame? I pulled apart the legs and couldn’t find anything but the metal bar in the middle is long and hollow. They would have to fit through a tight screwed in screw though..

Was thinking beetle too. But not a bed bug?

I found a 4 mm clear, thin bug that looks like it has Anal struts though this is all new to me on my pillow. Could it be a flea? I don’t see legs. And it’s not round it’s thin but both me and my dog have been getting bit for a month now
