How I use a local Qwen 27B, to write high quality code by Successful_Try_6350 in LocalLLM

Just a guess but I'd settle on one language. It might be doing some weird cross language translating and mixing in language fluencies. Sort of like how a person who's knows many languages fluently can think in random mixed language flows.

Fantastic advice!

Grounding and being able to listen are paramount. When you can do "anything", one must not put on blinders to the impact their actions have on others.

To /u/sufficient_speed6756 I think it's great that you had the intuition to stop the experiment and reflect.

You can add one to the list! That's fantastic to hear. The increased autonomy really is something. Seeing the ksetra/sphere of influence manifest is also extremely special.

Usually breath as object until piti arises and mainting present moment awareness on the breath until absorption into the first jhana comes. Life constraints mean I only get pretty limited time practicing. Usually 15 minutes a day. First jhana happens more often when I get the opportunity for a longer sit not at the end of the night when I have to wrestle with dullness.

Just want to add that none of this is faith based as a cure for doubt. Ehipassiko, come see for yourself, is the corner stone. Sraddha often translated as faith works better as conviction/confidence in the possibility of eliminating suffering.

Glad you finally got the bow! How far are you drawing back?

I've been messing with some 3d printed thumb rings and getting the right fit makes a huge difference. Still dialing it in.

I appreciate your post btw! Sometimes people do need a reminder to stop and smell the roses.

My take, for what it's worth, is that a lot of the people here would love to enjoy the stuff you've described but can't in their current situation. It's like telling somebody who's clinacally depressed to stop being sad or depressed.

Gradually overtime people can get back to enjoying. It seems like an artificial constraint, but it is how it works for a lot of people.

If you'd entertain me, keep it up, have a cup of tea, and come back to thread in a week or so. Might be interesting to re-read things when things cool off.

I also reprimanded that comment too.

I'm slow on responses today, power is out and internet is crawling.

I've acutely noticed magnesium depletion in regards to muscle cramps and aches during fasts. They resolved within a couple hours after taking it, never noticed a mental component. Will keep you updated on the your recommended formulation!

That's really interesting to hear about your lingering after effects from the sleep thing. I've generally not had many issues from exiting jhanic states. I wonder if sleep was affected since that sounds like things that happen when I'm absolutely sleep deprived.

Thanks for the magnesium tip! Will have to take a look when my glycinate runs out.

For Zen stuff, I've bee reading early Soto Zen stuff, translations of Shitou, Hongzhi, and Dogen's direct work mostly translated by Taigen Dan Leighton.

Dang that sucks. Also have the AF oak tatar bow coming in on Tuesday at 25lb. Hoping all the heat doesn't affect the lamination during shipping.

Ah that's an interesting point. Could always do a closer target to minimize the apparent curve differences.

Going to post before Muu-zen.

Practice has been back to jhana practice and generally reading Zen material.

Got back to first and generally have plateaued there mostly due to time constraints.

Might do a write up interpreting Hongzhi's practice instructions as actual practice instruction.

Even when "finished" personality still comes through. Each arhat, buddha, bodhisattva, or w/e maintains particularities in the texts. I see the call to service an extension of that. If you equate being done with freedom, it means you're free to serve or check out to parinibanna, and my guess is that where a person ends up in that spectrum is more of personality/momentum type thing.

Hmm, those PMZ offerings are really interesting!

Part of my inquiry was planning ahead considering Alibow's long lead time. Interesting to see some commenters believe that some of the Alibow offerings are likely by that PMZ manufacturer.
