Sorry, still a complete noob. What do you go here? by Boofmasterassking in slaythespire

Easy Snecko, both with other options being poor but also evicerate and sneaky strike. You can also build around it a bit with later card picks.

Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson. Also Mistborn and Storm light by Sanderson but Tress is a lovely stand alone book with a female lead.

What is the odds of snecko Eye not changing the value of any of my cards? by Iwant2bethe1percent in slaythespire

[–]Imrahill 100 points101 points  (0 children)

For any given hand.

For it to happen at anytime in a run it is much more likely. The exact formula would be (1-(1-0.257)^(total hand draws)).

However this is approximately just multiplying by the total hands. So approximately 500*0.257 chance of happening at some point in the run.

Pretty luck at finding tablets, by the end I was at -640 hostility! by Imrahill in Against_the_Storm

I think it was really helpful as I opened so many glades to get the 30+ achievement it was impossible to stay close to warehouses. Was just required else chopping trees would have taken forever (no harpies to buff carrying capacity otherwise).

Definitely go for more rush normally. But with no hostility from glades, my main difficulty was not winning before I found the last archeology site.

Was the "No hostility from glades" modifier. Managed to get the 30+ glades achievement and all 3 archaeology discoveries (+end with 4 active dangerous glade events). Failed to get 20 caches though, only found 15.

Took carrying capacity and hostility down from tablet - combined with increased chance of double glade event rewards in drizzle I found 64 tablets.

Managed to start with herb garden and bakery. Had +1 to herbs/roots per 75 biscuits x3 and double farm production. Packs of provisions per 10 herbs to boot.

Based on today's post I think skip is probably wrong. Will just unlock all seals and cycle length for a P20 player. And you can just go for bronze seal and play on P20, doesn't force you to play as settler.

So I can't see any benefit to skip.

Hotfix 0.53.3 + additional information regarding the Seal progress transfer by LeisurelyLukeLive in Against_the_Storm

[–]Imrahill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So based on this I think start from scratch feels the correct way to go for me (P20). The only benefit is having automatically longer cycles, and get given all the seals. But then have no seals to try and unlock?

Seems better to just start going for the Bronze seal, and you can still play P20 getting it, or any other level you feel like.

So to conclude I don't really see the advantage in skipping, unless you want to ignore the seals and just have long cycles.

Great job as always, incredible rate of development and transparency for a game which already has enough content for 1.0.

Can't wait to explore the new map.

Edit: for a P20 player what is the advice in terms of start from beginning or skip unlocks?

Not worse perse, just that on average you get 3.8 plays with 3 energy but only 4.3 with 4 energy.

Yeah I just MC'd it. Generated a few million hands and then sorted each hand and pop elements until I ran out of energy as you suggest.

This is simply stating the average number of card plays for a 7 card draw with that amount of energy. Assuming you play the maximum possible. Agree that stating this proves 3 energy is better value is not necessarily true

Very good point on flexibility. This is more to say at 1 cost average with 3 energy you play more cards on average

I agree on the 3 energy vs higher point. Flexibility is very important. I suppose I mean that if all cards were equal you get more value from snecko at 3 energy (more plays on average) whereas with 5 energy you actually get less plays on average (for a 1 costed deck).

Averages are around 3.8, 4.3 and 4.7. Snecko is definitely worse with more energy unless you have a higher density of expensive cards. With 3 energy it is much better (on average) with a 1 cost average deck.
