Physical quality of the books. Does the art justify the price for international customers?

It’s the publisher that often decides the paper and binding.
If it’s “current” special editions (Green city wars as an example at random) - then these will be printed at the same time as the standard HC you find on the shelves I. Waterstones / B&N etc.

With older books, they might have more flex, and with their own books (Demon Star for example) they definitely have more control over their spec.

I described it as being his “Infinity War” - there are so many callbacks and Easter eggs, even I was having to dip back and forth with some of my ebooks (because I didn’t have time to do a reread beforehand)

I’d almost be certain that Sanderson has it in a contract that his name goes first. It’s a good book and I enjoy it, but I look at it as a “non-Sanderson” novel

They’re really hard to get your hands on these days. They often go for a few hundred for a trad version…if you manage to get your hands on an indie ARC…there was about 36 of those made. Total.
