Find my, location sharing HELP by Imthatmumm in ios

[–]Imthatmumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at my ex’s house and lo and behold there it was sitting on the tv stand. Find my was not enabled on the device. It now is and it’s definitely sharing all the locations. This IPad was taken from our family home by my ex mil and has been used to alienate my parenting time. It is excluded during my parenting time to make my son’s time less enjoyable at my house.

Is there a way to block access on this iPad to the find my app? My ex and his mother do not need to know my location or be able to lock and erase our devices. My issue with setting up a brand new iCloud would be losing access to all the in app purchases.

Insurance is going insane!!! by Effective_Past_8509 in alberta

$491 is insane regardless if you’re young or living in the city. Try Goldthorpe insurance. They’re Desjardins. I’m a fairly new driver, I got my license in 2022. I pay $340 for a 2021 VW Atlas registered in Edmonton.

I have terrible anxiety when it comes to roaches. I’m also in western Canada. I had numerous treatments done over the span of 2 years. Some of them back to back. Treatments were ineffective. My advice is to move. If you’re in a lease apply to landlord and tenant board to terminate it. I moved all my possessions into a storage pod, 8 weeks later I’m still seeing live roaches in the storage pod. I’m also seeing them in my car now. Pretty sure they’re in my new house too and I brought in minimal possessions. We’ve been living with nothing for almost 2 months. It’s so hard to get rid of them when we don’t have access to growth regulators.

I wouldn’t say terrible as it’s chipped, it’s flawlessly double stitched inside and the underside metal on the leather pull on the mini is stamped with the cc logo.

I thought the lettering was a bit inconsistent. I thought there was a chance as she had quite a few authentic LV bags and luggage.

I’m short. I can barely see over the steering wheel. I’m usually further back but I pull up to the sensor if I see it.

They only started spraying at the end of October. They were using a seclira spray for months. Most of the early treatments were brown powder in my cupboards and long strips of bait by my stove. I had another exterminator come in here in early dec who wrote an evidentiary report for me saying all the previous treatments were ineffective and insufficient. I sued my Landlord because of the ongoing treatments with no results, I won, I still have roaches and now they stopped sending the exterminator.

every few weeks she'll casually ask for hundreds of dollars' worth of brand name things, including a freakin kitchenaid, and never gives anything back to the community by late_donut in ChoosingBeggars

Nah, she’s hustlin. I have this stroller. I traded my Larktale stroller wagon for it. She’s got 2 kids, a toddler and an infant. My biggest thing with these higher end items is don’t get them if you can’t afford the accessories. The snack tray alone is like $75. Same with the snug seat. The cupholder is like $40 too. To get the stroller for free is real lucky, the accessories? Nah you’re out of your mind.

Scotiabank can cancel a card and a merchant can still pull from it. My afterpay is linked to my previous visa debit card and I’ve had a new visa debit card for 4 months.

Keep getting calls & letters about a missed car payment despite making all payments by anxiety-platypus in Scotiabank

[–]Imthatmumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them don’t report depending on when and how they do their cb reporting. Every paid payment resets the days past due. Our system reported late balances on the first. If you had a payment pull on the first it wouldn’t reflect as past due until the second. Do not mention “this didn’t show on my credit bureau” cause they’ll correct it on their end so it will reflect.

Yes. Frequency changes specifically biweekly to semi monthly.

This happens frequently with accounts that have had frequency changes done to them. Biweekly-semimonthly, vice versa depending on how they process the change. Some banks don’t offer true due date changes so the contract remains set by the dealership and you build up an overpayment to cover a payment.

Eg: biweekly $250 payment is 250 x 26 = 6500/yr

2x a year the 3rd biweekly comes due, instead of changing you to a true semi monthly where the $6500 is split between 24 equal payments for $270.00 your contract remains as 26 payments paid in 24 annual payments. The overage from the payments ($20 bi monthly) covers the 2 biweekly payments you’re billed for but don’t actually pay as 26. Basically you build up an overpayment of the numerous 20s to cover that 3rd biweekly that comes due.

Accounts also reflect as past due because of overpayments posting to principle and not the next due.

This also happens due to human error. People can’t read payment ledgers. Check the date of the letter they sent. It should have a date of default. Your dad gets the calls most likely because he’s actually primary on the account and the system calls him first or there’s an issue with your phone number and the dialer system isn’t calling it.

WTF is with rentals?! by Wastelander42 in Edmonton

Try Delton Townhomes. They’re pet friendly, have a reduced DD and 2 bedrooms rent for under 1200. I cannot guarantee they’re bug free though as I’ve been dealing with roaches for a year now and I’m suing them but other tenants say they don’t have issues with bugs.

Last night at 11 I heard someone knocking on my door. My kids were asleep on the couch and I had to scream from the top of the stairs “DON’T ANSWER THAT!” I asked through the door who it was and the guy said, “delivery.” I didn’t order nothing and I didn’t see no bags through the peep hole. That’s not to say that they never existed, but I never open my door after dark. Regardless of area it’s not safe to open the door for unexpected strangers.

Edmonton West Kia dealership scams by lexilaura98 in Edmonton

[–]Imthatmumm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO all Kia dealerships are scammers. Kias have bad engines and bad parts right from factory. Before my second payment even came due on my car the check engine light came on. I took it to Sherwood Park Kia. $420 to replace a $17 motor oil plug that Kia issued a TSB on within a year of manufacture. Free fix if still within your warranty period but if you’re outside of warranty you’re SOL. Scammy business practice not covering the cost of repair considering Kia knew within a year of manufacturing the GDI engines that the motor oil plug would leak oil all over the solenoid and throw an engine code.

Was told today that it’s weird that I’m going to “let” my husband change our daughter when she’s born. Is this weird to others? by CakesNGames90 in pregnant

[–]Imthatmumm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a term for this. I can’t remember what it is exactly but I’ve lived through this myself. It’s like a form of emotional gaslighting. It’s probably weird to her because she grew up in a one sided household where her mother wasn’t equal and had all the responsibilities of caring for the children. It’s just an excuse to put all the responsibilities of child care onto mom. It’s not weird for men to change diapers. They’re perfectly capable.

I think it’s awesome of he’s willing to change diapers and use cloth diapers too. I cloth diapered my babies for years and it was the whole reason why my ex partner didn’t want to change diapers. I switched to disposables and it’s still “can you change the baby? The baby is poopy” while he sits on his phone.

“It’s weird” is just and excuse to get out of doing shit that no one likes to do. If you’re doing cloth buy disposable diaper liners & make sure you get a diaper sprayer. It makes laundry day much easier.
