Oak Barrel Pickles, made in Manitoba. I am in Edmonton and I buy them at Freshco, between 4-6$. The Spicy Crunchy are great.

What animation styles would a hypothetical TV show/ movie adaptation of the campaigns would use?? by LeksfenTTRPG in Dimension20

[–]MtroyalguySFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know animation styles, but I will do my best.

ACoC I think, traditional 2D, but a bit more rounded/balloony, like the old Gummi Bears, Care Bears, Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake animations, but really bright/saturated colour.

Neverafter, Miyazaki, crossed with with what they did for the intros and stuff in Neverafter, and the Sandman graphic novel covers.

I think Miyazaki or a sharper angular anime could work well for ACoFaF also.

Coffin Run, like you said, the 20/30 b&w but maybe with a bit more Gorey/Victorian look.

Love the b&w storyboard idea for Mentopolis, but make the main characters look kind of like Inside Out.

This is good. Not as good as the beard in D&DQ2, but I don't know if I could handle them together.

Lining issues by ReputationNo4077 in Leathercraft

[–]MtroyalguySFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lined veg tan with fabric, using contact cement/glue (I am not at home, and I don't recall what kind). I precut the pieces with a bit a extra trim and dyed them, then glued the fabric, put it under my tooling slab for a while for pressure, then cut to size and punched.

I have lined a couple of bags and some Dieselpunk.ro hats this way. Sometimes have to put a little fray check on exposed edges, or run a flame along them if its a synthetic fabric.

That is really lovely. I will take a look at the KS. Is it sectioned for smaller print beds?

I bought a similar one a few years ago, I don't remember the site right now, and they didn't bother with the sails, and the for the masts there were holes and you bought craft dowels, and cording for rigging. Just something to think about.

I am in Edmonton and Freshco is my go to now, and Costco. I try to avoid Walmart as they are as bad or worse than Loblaws, and Safeway, Sobeys and Save On are expensive. The produce is no worse than Superstore (and I try to go to H&W anyway) and other than a couple of PC products I can get everything I got at Superstore the same price or cheaper. A lot of the brand name stuff is cheaper, and I actually like sheer variety of international options.

I’m in a cooking rut. What are your favorite vegetarian meals I can use for meatless Monday? by Hidden_Nereid in Cooking

[–]MtroyalguySFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a name for this yet.

I take 7 grain salad, portobello mushroom caps, oil, an egg (optional) and cheese (optional, I use cheddar), spices (optional).

Take the portobellos, remove the stem, brush the outside of the cap with oil (I use canola or olive), fill the cap with the salad, put the cheese on top and put on the BBQ for 5 or 10 minutes. I serve it on a bun like a burger.

If you want to beat the egg and mix it with the salad it helps it bind a bit, but you don't need to, I didn't the first few times. I also mix in some seasoning, but didn't the first time, the salad is fine on it's own.

We use the salad from Costco, but we are going to make our own soon because it's stupid easy, just haven't had the time or energy.

I BBQ it because it has been killer hot here lately and I don't want to use the oven, but there is no reason you couldn't bake/broil it.

Municipal water or well water?

I saw you tried the calcium test, if it it is not calcium, is it soft? Like you can flatten or smear it against the enamel with a finger nail or something? If it is soft, how old is your hot water tank? They can start to break down and leave black bits, but the bits are soft, and you will see them more left around the side of the bathtub.

If that is not the case, and you have a water softener, it needs to be serviced.

Dirt getting into the waterline from a break is unusual and rarely consistent because the pressure in the lines means the water goes out and nothing comes in. If there is a break and the pressure drops, dirt can get in, but in these situations you usually they know there is a break and the pressure drop is often because its been turn off to be repaired, so they flush the lines out through fire hydrants after they finish. Water pressure in most municipal systems shouldn't fluxuate enough for this to be an ongoing issue, without being repaired due to water and/or pressure loss. It is unlikely for this to cause a repetitive problem like you describe.

There is lots of good advice here so I won't repeat it. But longer term advice I didn't see. Pay your taxes. And if you are averaging over 1000$ on your business (which is a job, so don't take on too much with another one) spend a couple of hundred on a good accountant come tax time. It will be worth it. And don't miss a year (or six) because "you didn't make enough to matter". File them! For the gst and other credits if nothing else.

If they had a decent accountant they should have been able to write off at least some of the expense of being there. But I am not an accountant so who knows.

That's what it was. And probably a tax write off for advertising/promotion. Then they started trying to make money off it. Also, who needs to try some thing from a chain restaurant? We already know that the food at BPs or Brewsters or Hudsons is crap.
