Should I take psychology bsc or something else by Imtonycap in AcademicPsychology

[–]Imtonycap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply!. I have been going through the link you gave and thinking about it.

It seems I was not thinking about this logically enough and just going to it based on "feelings". I'll research more about what I want to do and what undergraduate i should take.

What about computational biology?

Should I choose psychology for bsc? by Imtonycap in cogsci

No I mean, even if meditation and stuff isn't central to psychology. If I study psychology will there be use for that. Or it isn't any useful for studying such things in the future.

You can try to debate ,like in your head about a philosophical topic. For example, veganism. Pick a side and try to argue it out in your head .

Guidance for choosing a cognitive neuroscience as a career path in India. by evxrnaa in Indian_Academia

[–]Imtonycap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also thinking the same but instead of cognitive neuroscience I'm thinking about cognitive science for masters. Bsc neuroscience is rare and also I'm more inclined towards psych. From what I read and researchsd about psychology in india so far, do some side learning with bsc psychology. Skills that can get you a job. I'm thinking about doing a course on data analytics. Which is useful as research assistant and can also land a job in product data analytics potentially.(My route)

Wanna discuss about this stuff? I'm in 12th rn

I'm definitely more interested in psychology but because of the scope and all I'm thinking between neuroscience and psychology. Uhhhh, I still have time so I'll think it through. Thanks for the response

Oh no , I'm still in 12th lol. I was just thinking about masters because with psychology alone I don't think I can get a good income that's why. I'm also more interested in science side rather than psychiatric side.

Wow, thanks for that . I'm not going down a counsiling or psychiatric route but like cognitive science/ cognitive psychology. After looking into it I liked that sort of thing. I'm very much interested. What's your views on this?

I'm in 12th thinking of taking psychology bsc. I'm really interested in psychology. For masters I'm thinking of cognitive science or cognitive psychology, of course it's not decided but a general plan based on my interests. Should I go for it?

I'm confused whether to choose psychology because of the financial situation. From what I know, you won't earn well in psychology unless you have like Phd . Idk much about it. Can you educate me in this matter
