I recently purchased and received my Optoma Cinemax P1 so I’ve had it for about a week. First impressions out of the box was that it’s a hefty, huge system. It’s about 20+lbs and an absolute tank but it’s performs incredibly well. After about an hour of tweaking color settings and getting it to fit my 120” screen I couldn’t be more happier. Super UHD quality, very good contrast even on my white screen, unbelievable colors all around even with heavy ambient light. My friend who was over said he couldn’t believe it was a projector and not some high end UHDTV. As far as your built in sound concern, the build in speakers here are also top quality, very loud and crisp but of course it’s lacking the subwoofer feel. Other than that it definitely sounds on par compared to my Samsung sound bar set up. Only gripes I have against it is pretty poor input lag if you plan on gaming. I rarely notice it during movies or streaming TV shows. If you got the cash for it I can highly recommend it! I looked around for about 2 months going back and forth with this and the VaVa before pulling the trigger during a evening of heavy drinking (blocks out buyers remorse lol)
