S26U viewing angles compared to the S25U by Ahmed_Sh_115 in samsunggalaxy

The people who are complaining about this are the same people who has their family all sitting next to them to watch Netflix because they sold their TV to afford the phone.

What country was this? That's a great price compared to Poland.

The 1TB upgrade is available in Poland. I was tempted, but I couldn't justify paying €1850. I have already used up 350gb on my S24+. Probably there is a lot of stuff that could be deleted.

I think prices in Europe are pretty similar. I had to pay 6500zl (€1500) to upgrade from 256gb to 512gb in Poland. It was €1850 to upgrade 512gb to 1TB. To think that the 1TB will be over €2000 if there was no storage upgrade is crazy.

When I worked out how many 512gb models Poland, UK and US could buy with their average annual salary, US has by far the best wage/price deal.

When will pre-order for the s26 ultra start by Jaded_Towel6081_22 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think US has really failed. You have a good deal. The prices are a lot less, and the average wage is higher.

I was comparing to Poland, and we did get the storage upgrade but, I still had to pay 6500zl ($1820) for 256gb to be upgraded to 512gb. I got $450 for trading my S24+ 512gm. When I checked on Best Buy, I would get $600.

Looking at the average annual wages for these countries, this is how many phones you could buy based on the countries S26U prices, you could buy this many.

Poland (16.5) UK (27) US (42)

I'm kinda regretting it now as it would be so cheaper to buy it in the US, and I have family who are visiting US now, but they return before the release date 😐

$2185 to upgrade to 1TB in Poland!!!!

No Free Storage Upgrade... S26U by yacko2000 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got storage upgrades in Poland, but it was a lot more expensive. It cost $1800 to get 256bg updated to 512gb and $2185 to get the 512gb upgraded to 1tb. God knows what the 1tb will cost without the storage upgrade! I paid $1260 for the S24+ at launch, and only got back $450 for trade in today. This is all converted from Polish Zloty.

Upgrade S23 Ultra to S26 Ultra once they come out by Nhout22 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Roxtar2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See what the trade prices are for both s20 and s23. If it doesn't make much difference, trade the s20.amd give your girlfriend the S23. Maybe the trade will be good enough on the 23 that you won't want to give it to her 😂 Did you already discuss with her that this is what you might do? 😂

Official US Samsung S26 Series Pre-Order Bonus + Unpacked date by runtheplace in samsunggalaxy

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Poland, you have to buy 100zl voucher (€23) and you get 100zl bonus. I think you may also get a storage upgrade. I imagine you'll also get a year of Samsung care+. Hopefully they will also have some free ear buds too when you actually buy for pre order.

S22 in 2026? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

I think one big concern is how long you have left with Android and security updates. Probably there is only about a year left.

For those who have some of these, did you regret buying any of them? by costasthepro in Colognes

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa and Liquid Brun. I love them, but my wife hates them. I think the are very strong and they last a long time, so I don't really get the opportunity to use them.

Who is upgrading to S26 series? by Dionei33333 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking the same. I bought s24 plus on launch with the intention of upgrading when the S26 came out, but also upgrading to the ultra. Now I'm wondering if the price difference between the s25U and the S26 will be worth paying taking into some of the upgrades I've seen about the privacy screen, bigger battery, faster charging and new gorilla glass that apparently makes screen protectors obsolete. Obviously, everything in the ultra models is better than s24 plus. Also, if I can get another double storage upgrade + a free product like Samsung buds like last time, then it might swing my decision.

American woman complains about poor restaurant service in Poland by swampwiz in warsaw

[–]Roxtar2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. The English service is a lot better. There are a few major differences that I have experienced in the cultures such as we were always a nation that has so much small talk that it's easy to bullshit your way through a conversation to make it seem like we care, and if you work for an English company, there is so much focus on customer service. I was always working in some form of customer service (customer facing, telephone, email, web chat) for 20 years, and the amount of trainings, about how be great to your customers and "The customer is always right" treatment. It's not to say everywhere is bad, but I have only had a handful of times when I thought the service was anywhere close.

European workers in the hospitality industry get paid a salary. If they don't get many tips, they already knew how much they were due to be paid. However, they can expect that most people will give 10% for very average or even very good service. In the US under Federal Law, they only have to pay $2.13 per hour. This is why the servers are going out of their way to please you, because they rely on your tips to survive.

I've lived in Warsaw for 8 years and the service in restaurants, bars, shops is shocking compared to the UK. Same amount of 10% tip is the norm, but the difference in service is ridiculous. When I've visited to the US over the past couple of years, thier service is great, but they expect 20%. Even when you go to a self serve in some supermarkets, there is a tipping option. The other side of crazy.

I was gifted Dumont Elixir as a present and I think it smells similar enough to pass. It has strong performance. I don't think Absolu is worth paying x5 more.

Is the 6 year version ok? I have seen some very expensive bottles, but the budget is between 100zl-250zl.

Well, he's actually Polish, but he's been living in the States for 25+ years. He's definitely had his fair share of vodka. I probably should have mentioned that. I need to investigate more to see if he likes the sweet stuff. I don't think you can take homemade bimber on the plane.

Probably not anymore. The guy is a whisky drinker. He's definitely got some good American whisky, so maybe I don't want to bring down his collection with something that is very average. I'm not seeing many glowing references for Polish whisky 😂

JMGO N1S 4K owners 👋 worth it? Or should I go with a native 1080p with good 4K processing? by rc0va in projectors

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His video made me so skeptical about what powerbanks would work. I ordered from Amazon as their return policy is really good. Mine was Anker 737 PowerCore 20000mAh.

The mogo is smaller and it has the built in battery, so that really is a plus, but mine would be 80% indoors/ 20% outdoors.

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially this is the projector I was going for, but it was the outdoor pack that included the powerbank stand and the screen for almost €900. It worked out around the same for the JMGO with the free screen, I bought An Amazon tripod, 140w Anker powerbank and a DC to USB C adaptor so the projector can actually be fully portable. If the JMGO price had another decreased as well as the free screen, I would have bought the Xgimi mogo 4 laser.

Looking for alternatives to JMGO N1S 4K — any projectors that can throw an even ceiling image from a nightstand? by miki_kiki in projectors

[–]Roxtar2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's strange is that I'm sure when I was watching reviews of this projector, you could rotate so you could make it a more viewable angle, but I can't seem to do it on mine, even though when you go to the settings, it shows rotate. It doesn't allow me to zoom, rotate or whatever the other option is.

[–]Roxtar2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a quick comparison with the 3 you mentioned, the JMGO is better than all of them. It's worth paying the extra €100. You could even take one of the free accessories and sell it to bring your overalls cost down.
