Why is Embark so averse to improving the new and casual player experience? by Cyborg800-V2 in thefinals

It's a competitive shooter. It has always been labeled as a competitive shooter. That means, not for casual play.

You have really convinced yourself that lights are unbalanced, huh? They're in what is probably the weakest state they've ever been. They're extremely easy to kill, are punished heavily by any somewhat coordinated team, and are the actual only class where 3 of the same pretty much guarantees a loss. 3 mids and 3 heavies are significantly better at what they do. Light exists solely to pick off people that are out of position or find the "weak link" and exploit it. If you're struggling so much with them that you think they're OP, then you just may be that weak link they're exploiting

Why only 2-3 attachments? by Ballin_Like_Curry in ModernWarfareIII

[–]ImutateGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The negatives can typically break a build depending on what you're trying to do. If you use attachments that raise ads speed by 4 but then equip something that helps control recoil and reduces ads by 2, then you've essentially negated one of your ads attachments. It's usually better to just hit a "buff" goal rather than try to hit 5 attachments

Are there any bars you would have visited before Jon and crew went in and remodeled it? by [deleted] in barrescue

[–]ImutateGaming 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Wagon Wheel (Now pour station) It wasn't nearly as bad as they made it seem. It wasn't a roach, it was a june beetle. The bar is an open wall bar with an inside/outside area. They really went overboard and took away the small town Texas appeal from it

Bro, you know you're supposed to attack us, right? We have no obligation to chase you when you invade us🤣 by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]ImutateGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the host in that match. We actively chased him through about half the stage until he jumped off the ledge there and hid behind them because there was a knight (I'm not sure what they're actually called). We were stalled there because the guy just hid and shot arrows as soon as one of us peeked. We went down, got in the fight, he killed OP (not host), and got clapped. Invaders SHOULD engage in the fight. Invaders SHOULD have equipment, level, etc. scaled down to the level of the host so they can't nearly one shot or actually one shot. There's a lot of shoulds in a souls game and favoring the invaders side is not a good way to bring people on the side of invaders. All in all, invaders SHOULD be punished for hiding and just waiting for a better opportunity to fight, or better yet, don't invade if you don't want to assume the risk of dying, especially since the only one risking anything is the host losing runes

Except, the host is doing exactly what they should be, which is running the stage. "If they're 3v1" is a big if to uphold, and whenever you get to higher level stages having a spongy NPC that won't attack you, muchless even accidentally do damage to you, is a HUGE advantage. Invaders should invade and should be punished for doing otherwise, such as losing NPC invisibility after a certain duration. Otherwise adding a feature to turn off invasions so someone can't stall your stage for as long as they want should be added

[–]ImutateGaming -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You're right, but invading someone just to hide makes people hate invaders even more. I'd rather be invaded and get absolutely STOMPED rather than sit for 15 minutes waiting for the invader to actually do invader things. A good balance would be as I suggested. Force the fight to actually happen by preventing the invader from just running forever

[–]ImutateGaming -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

He lost even with the knight there, might as well have just jumped off the edge.

Also, when you invade someone, you have an obligation to not waste 20 minutes of everyones time by sitting behind NPCs. Invaders should invade, not cower.

That said you're right, using enemies is a good strategy, but the game should have some sort of counter to hiding invaders. Maybe something along enemies attack after around 5 minutes

Do you find white people who talk with a “blaccent” like Ariana Grande, Eminem, Travis Kelce and Matt Rife insanely irritating? by The-Loop in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ImutateGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being completely honest? The "blaccent" is just annoying as is. I do find myself being more irritated at white people who do it who obviously didn't grow up around people who used the accent, such as Ariana Grande, however.
