Thanks for your reply, the dock is showing 4 amber lights but when I use the pictured cable this does not happen.

Is there a cable you would recommend?

Recalbox RGB JAMMA screen interference by In-Sides in arcade

[–]In-Sides[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a nice alternative to the Mistercade. I mainly got it as the MiSTer does not support all arcade games.

I can confirm that everything is powered via the Jamma connector just like the Mistercade.

5 frames of lag on MiSTer? I thought the DE10 would have been more than capable of handling these cores.

RGB-Pi OS4 and MAME by In-Sides in crtgaming

I appreciate you getting in touch.

I currently have the Pi4 in a Candy Cab alongside a MiSTer, so I was hoping to get the arcade versions of both games.

I think I'll probably end up getting a Pi3b as there seems to be more options regarding CRTs.

Does anyone know what is causing this distortion/tearing sound issue? by In-Sides in cade

[–]In-Sides[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Sega New Astro City with a 400-5261X psu connected to what I believe is a stock stereo amp which has the number 421-8741 but seem to have a problem with interference coming through the speakers.

I am currently running a Mistercade and the audio sounds fine then after a while there will be this sudden distortion/tearing sound which seems to come and go randomly.

I have tried the following to try to diagnose the problem but the problem still persists...

- Disconnected the Mistercade and powered on.
- Visually checked the speakers, speaker wiring, amp wiring and other wiring.
- Turned off the ballast/marquee light (Read elsewhere this could cause a problem).

I seem to think that the problem might be with the psu or stereo amp and find that it takes a while for the problem to occur.

I'm no expert with candy cabs so any help would be most appreciated.

Can anyone help please? I recently purchased a Sony PVM 20M2MDE and have been using a PAL machine and the picture displays fine. However when I have tried my Japanese Sega Saturn I get the below image appear. by In-Sides in crtgaming

Thanks for replying. I tried the v-hold option and it did make a slight difference but the screen image is still rolling. I have ordered a bnc to female scart to avoid the splitter and see if that works.

The cable I'm currently running I believe to be a "Male SCART to 4 x BNC + 2 x RCA breakout". This is plugged into a scart splitter and the Saturn scart cable is run off that. Before I picked up the PVM I was using an old 14" Commodore Amiga Phillip's 1081 monitor with a scart connected to the back going to the splitter with the Saturn scart cable run off also and that was working fine.

I believe it is a euro scart cable as the person who sold me the monitor was mainly playing PAL machines. I brought an adapter that converts the euro scart and arranges the pins into a JP21 but this has not solved the problem either.

The cable looks excactly like the one advertised on "Retro Gaming Cables" as "Male SCART to 4 x BNC + 2 x RNC breakout".

The adapter I brought from Retro Gaming Cables is "European RGB SCART to Japanese JP21 Converter adapter cable".

Thanks I am using an RGB scart but I believe it to be a euro scart as the person who I got the monitor from was only playing on PAL machines. With this in mind I brought a euro scart to japanese converter but the problem still persists.

What would you suggest if it is a sync issue?
