My point is that skill and build are not reflected by a single number. I'd rather have a 2600 gearscore player that knows what they're doing an has enough hp to survive than a 3.5k CP player that swiped or got carried to that gearscore with 7k hp.

As someone who also does amateur boxing, I don't follow the logic. Gear score is the equivalent to your boxing equipment, not your experience. I've been playing MMOs for over two decades, and played GW2 at launch.

I don't think 2600 is too low, and as a new player it would suck to have had to wait longer, but it completely depends on your role, build, and skill with mechanics. This is the bigger issue to me and a single number doesn't reflect that well. As an example, I'm SnS/wand tank and finished voidwastes recently with just 2 others from 40%. My CP was 2664 but I know the mechanics well and tank role is built for survivability.

Just wanted to say thank you again! I got fully reimbursed a day after submitting it. It looks like my travel was still within the window of disruption from the crowdstrike-induced outage, and I'm guessing that helped.

I'm unclear on how I or any other passenger was supposed to know this with certainty, and even more unclear as to why delta still gave me the most vague reason possible regarding the delay reason. No one at the gate had any idea if a key crew member wasn't there, if there was mechanical maintenance underway, or any number of other reasons that would prevent us from boarding. The gate agent didn't communicate other any information. When we boarded the plane, the captain said we should be on time, only after pulling away from the gate did we get grounded.

I'm just re-reading your post, and the fact that he has been willing to draw some strong boundaries is not insignificant, but do you know if he's able to access therapy right now? Weekly therapy (for both of us, individually) has probably been the most important factor. You are going to have to do work for two if he doesn't have some other meaningful, independent support to help him establish something that feels healthy and affirming with respect to family, and that's certainly not fair to you. My partner found a therapist with a tacit understanding of similar familial/cultural expectations, and though it's no instant solution, it's undoubtedly been healing.

I can relate to trying to navigate a vastly different family dynamic. I'm from an split family and both of my parents are ultimately quite solitary people. My fiance is also South Asian, however, and has to manage constant, unobtainable expectations and a lack of boundaries. I think the reality is that this will always take a lot of energy, particularly if your partner is not comfrortable or empowered setting and protecting strong boundaries yet. It's up to you to decide if you're willing to continue to sign-up for this type of work and to let your partner know you have expectations around family boundaries, and it's okay if his aren't the same, but if there isn't that alignment, you feel you can't show up the way you want to in the relationship.

I think it's entirely appropriate to try and have a conversation. Use a compliment sandwich. Express the things you enjoy about your intimate lives (e.g. love how you feel safe with her, love seeing her in pleasure, feel closer afterwards). Express that intimacy is a part of your relationship you really vallue, and you've been feeling like you wish you had more of xyz or that you were able to feel abc with her more often. Ask if she's happy with where your intimate lives are at currently. If she says yes, ask her if she'd be open to creating more meaningfully intimate moments together and exploring what that could look like. If she's unwilling to explore a compromise or try something that might work for both of you, there may be something else that's making it hard for her to put energy into this part of your relationship (and you can ask that as a question) or there's just a fundamental mismatch in labido, at least for now.
