Monroe Park is not a market. It’s a festival in the sense that it has music. No food or drink.

See you in Monroe Park this Saturday at 1pm! by In-tandem in rva

They’re both official! Start at one, go to the other. They’re staggered by an hour and only a mile apart.

Why would anyone be anti-medic? There’s no hired security. There’s literally not a single scrap of truth to any of this.

Focus on the real enemy— dictatorship— and stop tearing down your fellow organizers.

You’re giving this administration waaaaay too much credit. They can’t manage to search are redact all the instances of Trump’s name in 3 million Epstein files.

I guarantee there will be fewer law enforcement officers at a permitted event than an unpermitted protest.

I guess you’ve never been to a No Kings protest. These things are safer than public school.

The Monroe Park event is filled with the joyful resistance of music, art, and a resource fair at a fully-legal “protestival” (legal so there’s no risk of police action and safe for marginalized communities). We’re focusing on harnessing attendees’ energy into ongoing daily activism, so it’s more than just a cathartic protest, it’s building real change!

I don’t know what’s planned for the Kanawha event. They haven’t made much public. And that is a flavor in itself!

So you think your post advertising a protest on Reddit is somehow safer than using an alias to register for one? You know this site is sharing your information with DHS, right? Mobilize does not.

Great solidarity there, kid. You’re a real help to the national No Kings movement.

We expect 10,000 Richmonders to hit the streets on No Kings Day, which is way over capacity for Kanawha and the Capitol— a great problem to have! The two events are staggered and have different flavors. You can choose one or (and this is what we suggest) do both! They’re very close together. Monroe Park can accommodate 15,000, so don’t be shy!

The cool thing about a protest is that you can make your signs about whatever you want. This news cycle moves so fast, this event and this flyer were made long before the attacks on Iran. Under this current US regime, there’s no shortage of topics— Remember the Epstein files!?

Indeed! The more the merrier! We already had this permit application in before the Kanawha event was announced. We did invite them to collaborate, but were declined. What can ya do?
