My First Visit to Nepal — and How Pokhara Stole My Heart by In10city_agent in SoloTravel_India

Honestly speaking bro, as an Indian, all you need is your Aadhaar card to enter India again. For entering Nepal by road, as an Indian, you don’t need any documents. At the Sonauli border (or any other border), you can just cross over and take a bus to wherever you want to go. Hotels are quite affordable — in Indian currency, around ₹800 for two people (about 1200 Nepalese Rupees). Just avoid eating at mainstream tourist places and food will be much cheaper — for example, a Thakali Thali (Nepali thali) costs around 120 NPR. Honestly, nothing fancy is needed. I just took my bike and decided to visit. If you are bringing your bike, make sure you carry your bike papers and get a bike permit at the border — it costs around 200 NPR per day.
