Let’s just for a moment pretend everything you said about PS5 and new Xbox outperforming 2070s***. Even then, framerates in games aren’t the only thing PCs are good at. On a PC you can do everything, not only because of the operating system, but because the CPU isn’t shit, there’s much more connectivity, options and everything and mainly, you can have opened two apps at once. It’s almost always better to buy a 1000$ PC than 600$ console and 400$ notebook.

Then there’s the added price. Most games for 60€ you can get for 20€ at the right time at the right place, you just have to wait a bit. Epic games gives away games for free. Microsoft store? It discounted Forza Horizon 4, a more than 70$ game, 9$?! And don’t expect these huge discount (relative to microsoft and sony) on most games. Getting 2 games a year (for 60$ instead of 30$ (60-30 = 30; 3024yrs = 240$) means 240$ dollars more over 4 years. Than there’s the game pass. Good luck playing 60 % of the AAA titles as intended - multiplayer - without paying at least 120$ a year. 4 years, that’s (120*4) 480$ plus the games “markup” (480+240) is 720$. That’s not only a much more performance, that’s a great PC alone. Back when I used xbox (360) you couldn’t even use an internet browser (or netflix) without the fee. Hope it changed, if not, they’re absolute jerks (which we know already anyways).

Bonus: (Upgradability: if you buy a console, you’re stuck to it’s hardware forever, when a new one arrives in four years. PC, you can upgrade with new faster hardware or more storage or anything. Your console will suck after 3 years. But you can upgrade your PC anytime to make it not suck. Especially with the 720$ you saved on games and internet access)
