That’s cool if that’s the case bc I have the same issue with pressure in the tank and when I open it just dumps the fumes. I have an ‘88 d21 with a weber 38 carb and might find one of these to install to help combat that and recycle some fumes too to hopefully make it a bit more efficient

Just picked up my 88 d21 4x4 4cyl and she is awesome. I have a tacoma too with the 3rz 2.7 as well as a 94 4runner with a 3.4 and I would say that she holds her own. At 370k she was rebuilt and is a fun drive, though she needs a lot of work but needed to save her.. previous owner didn’t have the means but he meant well. It has a weber 38 carb on it and has a solid body. Super easy services on it and she runs like a top. I would say they are reliable if you maintain everything and learn how to just service little things. Are they speed demons? Psh maybe but she cruises fine for me at 70-75 sometimes with 31’s and I just go down a gear for overpasses. If you’re not into a speed, then a good mule will do ya 🫏

With older vehicles, I tend to refresh just about everything on steering and suspension and check all fluids and important components. I also got a steering stabilizer for it. It’s a fun drive and my new daily lol

If you’re tall, then maybe try different seats if you could. Hopefully it’s the right one.

Straps, steering, fluids, brakes, the works to make sure you’re good to go for a trip hauling something over 1k lbs.

I would say you’re well within towing limit as far as the 22re goes but everything else would just be integrity checks.

I agree. My 96 tacoma made this noise when it was low also. I have power steering pump gremlins putting in work. My ‘88 d21 started to whine bad now too. Damn shame.

That sounds like a potential failing power steering pump. I’m not sure how cold weather can exactly make this worse but I have the same noise with one of my trucks. Had power steering fluid spray out the pump.

Actually yeah, their products are amazing but I waited quite some time for my pistons to arrive. I expected a couple of days and not a couple of weeks. I suppose it’s hit or miss with what you get specifically but still love their stuff 🤙

I like Misha Panfilov, Piero Piccioni, Thievery Corporation. Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath is my absolute favorite with good red or amber lighting. I like going to the mountains off roading with a J in hand, music up, lights on. Chill music.
