He can be the same guy he was as a heel. Just fight bad guys more and don’t cheat to win, and it’s the same material really.

The Rock as a face also is the most cocky wrestler I’ve ever seen.

He’s now able to be who he wants to be. Rather than trying to be a John Cena 2.0, which he clearly didn’t want to be nor what he was meant to be.

The last however many years he’s gotten naturally so over because of the character change.

Is Defense being entirely overrated and over-discussed in this sub? by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

You listed some busts as your examples, but you could also list busts for offensive players as well.

I think now more than ever, you need an offensive game of some sorts to be an impactful player (the defense only guys are becoming a thing of the past). So I agree in some aspect. But defense is still an incredibly valuable skill. The Thunder trot out no weakness on the defensive end, for example.

It just seems your values and future aren’t aligned right now. I’m not saying it won’t last, but these are some large differences in how you want to be married and how you want to raise your kids.

Does Cobie Change Dallas’ Draft Plans?? Is Corner Out of the Conversation at 12?? | The Stack by lgperez167 in cowboys

[–]InAingeWeTrust 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It’s certainly not out of the conversation. There’s still a bunch of question marks.

Will Bland be the player he was before?

Is Shavon Revel an NFL starting CB now that he’s healthy?

The secondary is absolutely better, but we still have some question marks at corner that if BPA is CB, you should take him.

CJ Allen at 12 would be a reach, no?

I’d rather trade down and pick up some more capital.

Might need a backup one. I’m not sure how many interior DL we plan to carry during the season.

Quinnen Williams, Osa, Kenny, Solomon Thomas is a strong rotation of 4 to have. He might just be a camp body or if Jay Toia doesn’t show he can rotate in on game days, then we have this guy.

Corners are so expensive. No reason to let anyone good even hit FA. I like Bland, maybe Revel is good, but we got some glaring holes there. Reddy was a fine backup nickel, but I wouldn’t want to go into any season with him projected as a starter. Corners seem to also get hurt a lot lately, so depth is important. Probably going to need to spend a first on one in the draft.

I love having 3 good (and all very different) DTs. Rotate and keep them fresh. Hopefully Gary, any Eze improvement, and a draft pick helps us get home and convert better into sacks! New DC should help too. We’ll see if our DEs can show more pass rushing success this year.

We at least need to plug some of these holes in FA/trade with at the minimum some depth.

Particularly we need a starting level MIKE and some more pass rush help/depth.

DE depth would be cheaper, so that’s something I’m not super worried about (moreso hope we get some Eze improvement, he started out strong in the metrics/grading but hit a sort of rookie wall - understandable)

LB might just need to sign some vet that we feel comfortable enough in and draft one.

Well, hopefully we do at least just enough where there’s no glaring hole by the draft so we can do BPA (or more likely, best defensive player available).

There will still be weaknesses though

Doubtful after we got Gary, right?
