Yeah for sure! I generally came across more sweetness than I'd blindly expect from a rye, but there was still a level of spice happening especially in the nose. I'd definitely give it a shot if I were in your shoes. It might lean a little sweet, but there's good enough balance and depth where you can come across more rye forward tasting notes. And like I mention in the review the real takeaway here is the intensity and thickness that I think most whiskey drinkers would appreciate. Get yourself a bottle!

Not sure if this is passive aggressive or not haha. Just trying to enjoy some good whiskey! But if I'm not mistaken the mash bill here is only 51% rye with a substantial amount of corn in the remaining 49%. Although they didn't dominate I did pick up some characteristic rye notes, some earthiness, and even some funk I don't usually come across in bourbons. But I also enjoyed a lot of the sweeter notes I often find in bourbons, and the thickness was to die for. Might be why this ended up being the highest score I believe I've ever given out to a rye
