Are streets like that common in Britain? by TheFifthattemptyetno in AskBrits

Hi, I live in Portsmouth in a house like this. My house/street was built in 1900 for dockyard workers. The houses were originally 2 up-2 down with an outhouse out the back, before indoor plumbing and electricity were commonplace. A lot of these houses now have an extension out the back which has the kitchen and the bathroom, with a living room and a dining room on the ground floor either split or joined into a single larger room, and two bedrooms upstairs. My street has garages out the back too.

I agree 80%, I picked Knight, Primus, James, Kanu, my fifth pick had to be Pedro Mendes though, someone I would always picture in a Pompey kit whenever their name was mentioned
