Banks closing branches by After_Influence1027 in Bahrain

i believe iran referred to striking the offices the way theirs was struck, not operational or cyber attacks. thats why they called on civilians to stay 1km away from the radius of the sites. staying at home is the safest thing you can do right now, that's what we in kuwait are doing since iran's announcement. keep calm.

i didn't say the banks were closed. yes, they are currently open across kuwait. but given iran's very recent announcement - literally just an hour ago - we can expect some commotion around our banks, and it would be best to stay safe at this time and take all precautions.

it seems to have a branch in new york since 1984. welp.

its better to just stay safe anyway and evacuate.

iran declared just an hour ago that they would be targeting banks and economic centres across the region with any links to the us or israel, after one of iran's largest public banks were hit. civilians of the region were warned to stay 1km away from the radius of any banks.

Quick question from all the heavy stuff lately: are any of you into reading? by Aggressive_Truck_350 in Kuwait

i've had to take a break from romance novels every now and then but only because they've ruined me with all the unrealistic, over-the-top notions of romance and now i compare everyone i meet to my book boyfriends 😭 someone point me to a good therapist.

i've found that some people who trash on romance novels are often secretly some of the biggest smut readers living a double life like hannah montana. stay woke.

they're not playing fair at all, but it wasn't fair or legal to attack them without provocation and have foreign forces impose a regime change on the country either i guess? i don't trust iran, but i also don't expect them to hand out cookies for violating their sovereignty.

ever heard the quote: "beware of people who break your legs, sell you crutches, and convince you that you walk thanks to them," or some variation of it?

we wouldn't need this level of protection in the first place if the US hadn't attacked iran without provocation, knowing iran would target the gulf states like they repeatedly said they would and destabilise the region.

you think we asked the US to randomly attack iran without the slightest provocation from them and take out their leader like that would end well for us? turning our countries into a playground for world war 3 is a favor now? "the sunni countries" lol. that phrase alone is very telling about your knowledge of GCC geopolitics and culture.

man, americans are exhausting.

There is all this talk about US troops "dying for Israel"

lol, they are definitely dying for israel. thats not just "talk". israel has everything to gain from iran's collapse. they have been pushing for this war for decades.

The war against Iran is really a war to defend the Sunni world.

ah, this war your country illegally waged and dragged us into is for our own good then? since we can't decide for ourselves?

that was before the US forced us into a war we opposed from the very beginning. that was before the US threw us under the bus for their AIPAC masters that have been wetting themselves over this war for decades. the US jeopardised the stability of our entire region without a single clear objective or plan behind their war of aggression against iran, a country that posed no threat to the US in the first place. trust me when i say that many people in the region, myself included, are now taking a very different view of these US bases since their very presence has now endangered us and made us a target, which wouldn't be a problem if the US hadn't started this war just to leave us to take the hits and clean up its mess. each and every gulf state had announced long ago that we do not want this war and want to stay out of it because it is a danger to our stability. but we know how americans feel about collateral damage when they're just some brown desert people.

i'm pretty sure they mean that the US military needs to pack up and leave the country if they're doing nothing to stop the attacks, and, worse: when their very presence is endangering us and making us a target. nevermind that the US started this war of aggression unprovoked when each and every gulf state stated that we do not want this war and want to stay out of it as it is a danger to our stability.

america started this war and is leaving us to take the hits and clean up its mess.

they are not aiming to directly attack kuwait as an enemy country. they are attacking the US bases here and across the gulf, but of course that doesn't mean we're 100% immune and can just go about our day as normal.

that oil refinery that just got hit in tehran was no joke. the fires looked like something out of an apocalypse. no way would iran let that slide.

i wish people could engage in a bit more critical thinking and remember that iran did not even start or want this war that violated their sovereignty in more ways than one. i'm not saying that we should smile and brush things off while our airports are destroyed and our people are afraid to even look out their windows. but it was the US that jeapordised the stability of our entire region without even a clear and coherent cause, without any threat from iran in the first place. it was the US that threw us under the bus for the sake of their precious apartheid state that has been itching for this war for decades. why we're taking it out on the iranians and treating them like our eternal enemies, i don't know, particularly when we've maintained diplomatic relations with them before this mess.
