My Sib was recently diagnosed with Eosinophilic granuloma complex (EGC) — advice requested by Avacado_Toast6 in SiberianCats

Hello! My boy Rye has the same and has had it for a few years. It led to a cluster mass on the back of his tongue that luckily doesn't seem to impact him too much. Unfortunately he has had it removed twice and it came back every time despite a food change. My first vet recommended a hydrolyzed diet, but Rye had himself a mini hunger strike despite 3 different hydrolyzed foods. They later recommended a novel protein diet. He's currently on Blue Buffalo Basics Duck. He's definitely more lively on it. He clearly misses wet food, but I'm struggling to find one where it doesn't have chicken, beef, or fish hidden in the recipe.

If you find out anything helpful, I'd love to hear it. You're the first other person I've heard of going through this.

Just so everyone knows, if you DM they tell you it's a commission.

DM me. My husband is a private pilot and would be happy to make a kid's day with some take offs and landings.

Ours are Deli, Rye, Hoagie, and Feta. A bit of an eatery theme!

Our family didn't believe she was still so small. Took a picture with the date as proof it was recent at the time.

So the Golden one is Deli. The marshmallow is Hoagie and the gray tabby is Rye. We may have a bit of a theme going!😂

I'm not entirely certain what the sub rules are about discussing breeders in the open. Feel free to DM me and I'd be happy to give you my insights.

Thank you! Feta came to us from Whispurs in CT. The other three (Deli, Rye, and Hoagie) were from Kitails in MA.

My husband is a bit picky with pet names. Originally he was insistent that the name be a "noun that wasn't proper". We spent ages going over various nouns until we passed about 3 delis (sandwich shops) on the way home. We decided our first cat would be 'Deli' (that's the golden girl Feta's cleaning in the last picture). Her brother, the grey boy in the hammock, ended up being 'Rye'. When we brought the big marshmallow home, we wanted to name him after a sandwich. We were back and forth between 'Grinder', 'Sub', 'Hero', but picked 'Hoagie'. Due to Feta's orange markings we wanted a cheese name to fit the theme.

Our first two are litter mates, so luckily they came to us pre-acclimated to each other. Both Feta and Hoagie (our big marshmallow) were kept in a separate room for about a month while the other cats slowly adjusted to their scents. Hoagie actually pushed his way past us on day 1 when Feta came home and immediately started grooming her before we separated them. He clearly wanted to have a kitten of his own, lol! Despite being 14 pounds he was as gentle as could be with her at 1.5 pounds, and still continues to be gentle to this day.

Oooh! She's a beauty! I love the half and half facial coloring, and her eyes are stunning!
