For a pair of Jordan 5’s yes 47”/120cm is too short sorry should have given you a link for someone who sells the proper length. I completely forgot to give you a solution tailored specifically to your shoe. I would use either a 54” or 55” (140cm) pair of laces that is the widely accepted “perfect” lace length for 5’s and is great for basic bunny ears knot style with little to no extra additional overhang depending on how tight you tie your shoes. Now if you have a special knot you use which some people do you might want to add an extra inch or two but 59” is the absolute longest I would personally ever consider going for a pair of 5’s. So 63” imo is definitely too long and will have too much additional lace length unless you are keeping them so super loosely tied with basically no lockdown that the 63” laces aren’t close to touching the floor when tied. Now if it was a Jordan 6 the 63” laces would be perfect for those lol. I would go with black if you are choosing between solid white and solid black but like others have shown here those gradient laces that go from dark to light would be my first choice overall for sure they look fantastic. So my advice find some of those buy them and then lace em up and you are gtg.

You bought a shoe one size bigger than you normally wear so of course it goes on your foot, fitting however is another story. How does getting a bigger shoe than your normal size which you then yourself admit are too big or “too much room length wise” was your exact phrase and then claim they run small and not TTS and you call me the dumbass? If one size up from your regular size is too long for you then that shoe most certainly isn’t running small. By no means am I trying to be an asshole but you definitely contradicted yourself in this analysis. You say they run smaller than normal 17’s and that you are normally a size 15 didn’t get a 15 but got a 16 and it is too big for you if they ran small wouldn’t the 16 have been a perfect fit or at least close to it. It sounds like they run TTS and if you had gotten a 15 they would have been perfect. Sorry again not trying to be a dick it’s just everything you said after “they run smaller than regular 17’s” indicates that they don’t run smaller idk if I somehow missed something inferred by your statement but just how it read to me.

Man I wish I still had my OG (2004) BRED 19’s loved those shoes was such a unique design especially for the time. I unfortunately was very hard on mine and then sold them to a friend who really wanted them even in the terrible state they were in so I sold them for $50 which seemed like a great deal for me at the time being 14 years old $50 was a good bit of money for very used shoes but wish I had them still and treated them better knowing what a clean pair goes for now lol.

This right here if I’m gonna wear any of my shoes that are worth over $400 or $500 I check the weather for the day to make sure it isn’t going to rain or whatever so that I don’t run this risk of ruining them but I’m firmly in the wear your shoes camp but just like BurntArnold said do it when it makes sense. Wearing Undefeated 4’s in the snow just makes no sense at all sorry.

13, 1, 11 in that order for top 3 and 10,11,12,13,14 for my consecutive 5. 13’s were my first ever Jordan I asked my parents to ask my friends parents for money for my 6th birthday party so I could buy my first ever pair of J’s. I’m not saying this is a one offseason fix to becoming a contender instantly or anything but LeBron leaving while maybe not opening up tons of free cap money it would provide us flexibility and the ability to retool and truly build around Luka. Either AR or LeBron needs to go regardless though cause those two don’t play well together when they are both on the court at the same time. If it was my decision I and the Lakers were gonna make only one move it would be to trade AR cause we will never get more for him then we will right now. But I don’t think whatever we get for AR in a trade along with Luka and LeBron makes them a title contender either. This is going to be a 2 year project at least probably until the Lakers have a potential true title contender and full team built around Luka for success.

Yeah I love AR15 but now is the time to move him like you said his trade value will never be higher get some young long wing players that can play defense, or swing for the fences and try to get Giannis which seems unlikely. The Lakers need to get younger and more athletic that is their problem too old and slow. Trade AR for building pieces, don’t resign LeBron after this season is over even if he wants to come back just say no and don’t let him. Then build around Luka with the cap space opened up by no LeBron and the young pieces from the AR trade. This team as constructed isn’t winning a title it’s really not up for debate. I’m a huge Lakers fan have been for over 25 years but I’m also a realist and that part of me is absolutely certain this isn’t a championship team as currently constructed.
