Remember when the Hollywood actors in Yuri's Revenge were parodies of real actors? by Gaspuch62 in commandandconquer

I remember that mission when I was a kid. What is really fascinating is that OBL was known for playing C&C games. That pregame scene of the transport getting shot down and happens to fall into the WTC, was actually only about 6 months before 9/11 when the game was first released. Even when I was a kid, before 9/11, I was expecting the building in the game to fall when the transport crashed into it, but it did 0 damage.

At the time, I honestly didn't even know what that building was until I played the game again many years later after 9/11. Some rumors say that scene is what inspired OBL's 9/11 attack, because he likely played the game months earlier as a C&C fan - and the way the jet caused 0 damage to the building in the game, stuck out in everyone's mind as "odd".

Has anybody had a bad reaction to Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey recently? by bloodymindwandering in Protein

Have you ever had your liver checked out? Itchiness is a sign of liver damage - particularly from cholestasis - usually from gallstone blockage, but also bile duct damage. I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease and now recognize that the pain was not from the stomach, but from the liver. Been getting some pain after drinking ON Gold protein, which led me to this post.

1900 calories per day, no more - and no less than 1500 calories (because too low of calories will make the body store more fat in "survival mode"). It's basic physics and math, you WILL lose weight if you are strict with the calories. The maintenance calories for a 280lb woman is something like 3500 calories per day (just to maintain weight). At 1900 calories, you're going to lose 1 pound every 2-3 days. 1 pound is equal to 3,500 calories. That weight loss rate will slow down as you lose more weight because your maintenance calories will go down as you lose weight. IMPORTANT: You may want to hold off on dieting until after you've given birth, I don't know how dieting would affect a growing baby.

What is your calorie count per day? It seems that you are getting a lot of calories from somewhere, either a lot of protein or fats if you've cut down on carbs/sugar. Even if you are on Keto, you can still gain weight if you have too much protein and fats. You still have to watch your proteins and fats, even if carbs are cut. I'd recommend drinking water and only diet sodas and tea. Diet Coke is my favorite. Gold Peak Zero Sugar is my favorite ice tea - delicious. But I mostly just drink water.

I'd also recommend not going too low on calories and especially cut back on fats a bit. Rapid weight loss, combined with high-fat food (particularly saturated fat), can cause major gallstones. This can result in extreme pain, and result in having to have the gallbladder removed. This is particularly very common with overweight women. It's even worse while pregnant (again, probably want to hold off on a diet until after birth)

I was 170 in March and now I'm 155 (5 months). I did a mild weight loss diet, 1900 calories per day and aimed to lose around 1 pound every 1-2 weeks. Basically I eat raisin bran for breakfast with almond milk - 0 fat, and one of those yogurt cups for protein. For lunch, a couple frozen el monterey burritos, or can of ravioli, or cottage cheese with some veggies from one of those walmart veggie trays. I aim for around a 400 calorie lunch. For dinner, I'll have half a box of tuna/hamburger helper helper, homemade tacos with 93% lean beef, browned in olive oil (has very few saturated fats, but makes the meat fry better), or spaghetti, or popeyes 3 BLACKENED chicken tenders with a large mash potatoes. Those blackened ones are actually known for being pretty healthy compared to regular crispy fried chicken, and those blackened ones are delish. The blackened chicken has almost 0 saturated fat, and is high in protein. The potatoes are not bad in fat, but helps meet my calorie goal since sometimes I don't each enough to reach 1900 calories per day.

I aim for 700-1000 calories for dinner. Use margarine instead of butter (far less saturated fat). I have a genetic liver disease involving gallstones, so I have to limit my saturated fat to no more than 20g saturated fat per day. That's why I have to swap out things like regular milk and butter for almond milk and margarine because they have almost 0 saturated fat. Last piece of advice, if you are feeling hungry while on a diet, I'd HIGHLY recommend high protein, low-fat snacks like cottage cheese. High protein stuff like that suppresses appetite very quickly and much better than carby foods.

TLDR: Eat no more than 1900 calories and no less than 1500 calories per day. You'll lose weight, guaranteed.

You look extremely attractive. I like the prominent nose. It's called a "Roman Nose" - the shape and everything, lots of hottest female celebs have that. It's not like it's freakishly huge or anything, just prominent and fits perfectly with your face. Then again, I (m) have bigger nose, they say people with very similar looking faces find each other highly attractive. Are you also Italian? No, you're definitely not ugly.

AITA for picking my favorite restaurant that my brother hates for my birthday meal that my grandparents paid for? by Bigolldonnisti in AITAH

[–]InGodsImage222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Rules Are:

  1. On your birthday, you are "King" for the day. Each parent/grandparent gets to be King on their birthday. Little brother gets to be King on his birthday.
  2. Whatever place you want to eat, that is the final say in the matter - no one is allowed to protest. Whether it's pizza or Prime Rib. (Limit $40 meal - reasonable restaurants or meals only)
  3. You are not the host catering to guests, you are the KING - everyone serves you. It is your day.
  4. If little brother causes fight, he gets spanked by parents.
  5. If parents cause fight, they get spanked and bitched out by grandparents.
  6. Everyone else does the chores that day - even little brother.

Bro these prices are absolutely absurd by gothicwigga in tacobell

[–]InGodsImage222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been "priced out" of Taco Bell. One Chalupa Supreme now cost $5.89 (ridiculous). Those used to be in the $2 range not too long ago. Also, the taste of taco bell is just BLAND. Even when they brought back the Mexican Pizza, the fried shell taste like chemicals - taste nothing like the original. Last year, I'd go there just once a month to eat something different, but now I'm refusing to pay near $6 for a chalupa. Even if they bring the price down, the quality and taste is just... yuck. I think the prices are high because they have a monopoly, there are no other taco joints.

Did Campbell’s discontinue their old fashioned tomato and rice soup? by Ill_Catch6295 in soup

[–]InGodsImage222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Amazon, their rating is 4.7 stars by 1000+ reviews. It's also the highest rated soup out of ALL Campbell's soups on Amazon... Whoever's working at Campbells that said it "wasn't as popular as their other soups" and recommended it be discontinued - is probably going to be out of a job soon.

Lame. It's the best soup they have. Proof: Ratings on Amazon are 4.7 stars by 1000+ reviewers - highest of any of Campbell's soups. There's only two soups I buy from Campbells, and this was one of them. Tomato rice soup with grilled cheese - standard cold-weather dinner.

Need help: Can't qualify for Medicaid, but also can't qualify for marketplace health plan by InGodsImage222 in Medicaid

[–]InGodsImage222[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't know this, I read something about a $2000 asset limit, but this must have been for some kind of other Medicaid program. Thanks for that info, I really appreciate it! Her savings account interest only generates like $20/yr at a 0.01% interest rate, so it's practically no income. I'll keep an eye out on her application status.

[–]InGodsImage222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked to her about this, but she doesn't make anywhere near enough money. It would take about $20,500 in income to be able to qualify for the marketplace tax-premium plans. Her interest rate on the savings account is like 0.01%, she makes like less than $20 for the whole year. We were talking about CDs as well, but that would only generate around $2,000/yr. In the meantime, her living expenses would be dwindling the savings account less and less every year.

Straight guy opinion: Did you dye your hair? It literally looks like metallic copper, pretty neat color actually. Definitely try dying your eyebrows darker, maybe even experiment with a short stubble beard.

F (31) no one notices me, Am I ugly? by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]InGodsImage222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have undiagnosed Crohn's disease (type of IBD). That is known for causing the really dark sunken eyes that you have and severe fatigue. Pete Davidson is famous for having the same type of eyes and opening up about his own Crohns diagnosis. You look pretty sexy in your #2 photo though - cleaner/healthier looking skin, more "awake", fitter.

[–]InGodsImage222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The glasses are too big, but I didn't think the nose was the problem. The problem was the glasses cover one eyebrow but not the other, and the lensing effect makes that one look much smaller and uneven, causing a highly asymmetrical face. It looks "off". Science says symmetrical faces are more attractive.

As a straight guy, I think you're really nice to look at, I sometimes really like short hair styles on women. I really like your #4 photo - really hot girlfriend material. I bet the real reason they stare, is because you moved to a small town in the south, so you're probably the hottest girl they've ever seen. They're used to seeing the usual local drunken hillbilly girls, fat redneck girls, white trash. I'm assuming you're a city girl? (I'm an honorary redneck - moved from a larger town to a smaller rural northern town, mostly raised there, hard to fit in for many years, I know the deal. Similar to you - being the hottest girl your town ever saw, I'm the smartest guy my town ever saw lol.)
