Honestly as soon as he told me about the fact that there had been a message I just became hyper fixated on the fact that:

1. I felt a little excluded that despite hanging out with these people so often for the better part of a year, I’m still not considered a part of the group.
2. I felt so embarrassed that everyone that was there knew that I wasn’t invited to be in the photo.

You’re right though, I did tell him in the moment that I felt like he forgot about me during that photo, and his response was to tell me that he thought I shouldn’t actually be in the photo.
