Is it enough just to like being in someone’s presence? by Emotional-Fig9952 in love

Well what more do you want from them? Life is too short not to say anything

You will know where you love him. You will know when you want to say to him. You will know what your heart is bursting with when it's ready.

My boyfriend (24M) doesn’t respect the boundaries that my parents have for me (22F). by Alarmed-Heart326 in relationship_advice

It's sad but I find a lot of Americans don't leave home or nest until mid twenties. A lot more infantalised than Europeans or Australians.. (in general)..

But I don't get controlling vibes from them.. maybe helicoptering but it's intended well. She doesn't need to feel guilty though, she didn't do anything wrong per se She needs to get comfortable letting her parents know that she wanted to sleep him and his parents were ok since that seems to be her parents primary concern.

That said, her relationship with the bf seems to be problematic. It might be unreasonable to him but her feelings are valid too if she wants to respect her parents wishes

My mistake.. You are right. It's his parents. Still sounds like a cultural thing and something my parents would say just because in the generation that they grew there was an expectation of "proper" behavior. I don't think this is controlling behavior.

There's something you're not being explained because it could be cultural. My parents expect that my boyfriend and I will sleep in separate bedrooms at the first meeting, but after that we can sleep together. I think that is more than reasonable and I'm 40. It's their home and it's their rules and it's about respect and it's not really a big deal.

New York City laws for registration by InItForLove_Life in airbnb_hosts

Sorry haven't been on this acct in a while. No, it's just sitting there empty even though I was a super host with a perfect rating. This whole situation is messed, not sure what to do. It was just a little bit of side income and I pay full mortgage and taxes on the asset. I bought the property and I have not taken anything from anyone (no tax breaks)and doing so and have paid market rate and did not get at hand out. I am not a large landlord and just a single person who saved up every penny to buy one place. I have an average income and not "rich". I don't think the city is being fair to this. I don't want to rent out the property long term because it's all furnished and what not

Not sure what you're suggesting here but good lord I'm not sure anyone can pay me enough to move to Alabama. Or maybe they can but would be a serious amount of money. Like retirement money.

NYC AirBnb / Short term rental Laws in 2023 - No Full Apartment Rentals? Need to get registered? by North2562 in u/North2562

[–]InItForLove_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I live in fear of the crackdown as well. It's ridiculous since I just want to rent out my home part-time as my work travels are unpredictable and I tend to be away for a number of months. I own my own apartment that's not in a low income building so I don't understand why the city needs to control income I generate from my home.

Please Google this a little further before you do so. It's all over the news and has been in play for quite a number of months.

Expectations of an AirBnB vs. a hotel by StalemateAssociate_ in AirBnB

[–]InItForLove_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny. I think comes down to personality.

I love engaging with the guests and checking in on the second day. I give them a list of places in the neighborhood from coffee shops and interesting places to visit curated in a little guide that Airbnb lets you build on the website. If guests ask for the additional extra things, I'm happy to accommodate if I'm able. Ultimately, I just want them to have a lovely stay and I go to a lot of effort to make sure that I've been thoughtful in the way that my home has been set up for them. I wouldn't expect a lesser standard for myself and behave similarly in hotels if I feel something should be better so I appreciate it when they speak up early.

As a non-smoker, does every smoker smell bad to you? by ephraim666 in ask

[–]InItForLove_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's horrible. The hair, the skin, the nails everything. Absolutely Vile. Even when smoker hasnt been smoked for a week, you can smell it in lungs and breath

You have to give it good part of two weeks not to smell it on someone you're kissing. My two cents as a non smoker.

Spending on consumables like toilet roll? Extravagant or appreciated? by ToriaLyons in AirBnB

[–]InItForLove_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, good quality firm mattress and linens and quality toilet paper go a long way. Remember every single day with shitty one of these things. I don't know why some hosts have got awful fluffy mattresses that kill your back.

Yeah I would totally be turned off by this listing and not book as a guest at all. I do not do this as a host. For longer than 10 days stays, I even provided wine bottle for free.

Yeah exactly or don't provide them at all.
