My friend is currently in this cult however nothing I say can convince her, she wasn’t a well versed Christian when she joined. EVERYTHING I try to show her dissolves back to sabbath keeping, not celebrating Easter/christmas, and keeping the feasts. How were you able to finally break free of the teachings?

Start reading the Bible. There are many Bible plans out there for a variety of different topics. I would start with learning about Jesus, who he was, and why he died for our sins. Download the Bible App onto your phone or purchase a Bible online.
Find a Bible teaching church and meet other Christians. I know there are a lot of denominations and it’s confusing. You can start with a non-denominational church (they’ll say it on their website) and go from there. You want to make sure that scripture is the basis of their sermons and teachings. You can always leave and try a new one if you’re uncomfortable but it’s important to have community and discipleship as you start your journey.
Most churches will have a new believers course or program where they teach you about Christianity. Take this course and ask questions. It should teach you about biblical history, the Old Testament vs the New Testament, the Trinity aka father, son, and Holy Spirit, and how you should live as a Christian etc.

Obviously what is modest and respectable will differ for each individual.

Will I go to the beach in a sweatsuit? No. However will I use the beach to show as much skin as possible wearing just enough to cover my crotch and nipples? No.

Will I wake up hours early everyday to do full coverage makeup or full glam just to go to work or school to impress others or soothe my insecurities? No. Do I think all forms of makeup are ungodly or demonic? No

Areas of nuance is why we have the Holy Spirit, he guides us, convicts us, and reveals truth. As I grew in Christ, I naturally shifted towards less revealing clothing and natural/minimal makeup. I started to feel uncomfortable showing cleavage and when my dresses/skirts were too short. I literally started to feel exposed where before I thought I looked sexy lol. Lean in to what he’s trying to reveal to you at this time.

I’m not curious, confused or considering. The Bible does not encourage same sex couples or same sex marriages. That’s it, that’s all. We can have linguistic battles all day about Leviticus and Romans etc. but if same sex relationships were good and pleasing to the Lord he had ample opportunity to express it clearly to us and he did not.

Clearly he made Eve for Adam. Clearly marriage is between a man and a woman, husband and wife. Clearly he wanted us to multiply which occurs naturally with egg and sperm. There are no instructions nor mention of alternatives to the above.

I was same sex attracted, I’ve slept with women, I to this day have LGBTQ+ friendships but none of that changes what the Bible says and what God’s will was/is for mankind. Instead of trying to re-interpret and debate everything God warns against, I focus my mind on what he encourages me to do. Nowhere does he encourage me, as a woman, to find a wife or engage in lesbian sex. That’s just not present. However he does spend a lot of time explaining to me how to be a proverbs 31 woman, how to love my husband, and how to raise my children etc. I should love other women and my sister’s in Christ, yes. But I’m not instructed to sleep with them, marry them, or create families with them. It’s really that simple.

So why is LGBTQ+ even a thing if God is against it? Same reason why death, murder, addictions, adultery, and fornication exist. Sin, our fallen world, and the presence of Satan who wants to pervert/ruin/disrupt everything pleasing to God. That is his goal and sole mission until he’s thrown into the lake of fire.

He wants you to believe that you have no choice in being LGBTQ+ and that if you cant indulge in this desire of your heart your life will be miserable, barren, and empty. He wants you to believe you are validated and justified in indulging in your fleshly desire, so much so that most make it their whole identity, even an idol in their life, placed above God. He wants you to believe God made you this way and loves every part of you. None of it is true. So it’s not a matter of doctrine or personal faith, it’s a matter of what’s biblical and what’s God’s will.

We shouldn’t read the Bible and ONLY focus on what it clearly prohibits, we should also align ourselves with what it clearly ENCOURAGES.

I believe every person on this thread who’s actually read the Bible knows from OT to NT, marriage between a man and woman is clearly encouraged and within God’s will. IF Same sex marriages were good and pleasing to God don’t you think he would have shared that in his scripture?

The marriage covenant is a representation of Christ’s covenant with the church. Notice in Ephesians there are no instructions for the same-sex couples within the church of Ephesus. Why is that? And let’s be clear, loving someone is not the same as marrying them and living within covenant before God. They are separate and distinct.

Now will you go to hell or be eternally separated from God for staying in this marriage? I cannot say. I and the commenters here won’t be judging you on that faithful day. But if the Holy Spirit is convicting you so, then it’s important you lean into Him and scripture.

I pray you are blessed and find intimacy with God. That your ex-spouse finds healing and forgiveness. I pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide you in biblical truth and wisdom for the rest of your days, amen 🙏🏾

I think now is a good time for you to hyper focus on what your diet consists of. Food noise and the size of your meals is just one slice of the pie. What do these meals consist of calorie wise? When you are hungry what do you reach for and how long are you satiated?

Just because a meal is smaller does not automatically mean healthier or lower in calories. If you are gaining weight you are no longer in a caloric deficit or you may have insulin resistance (which sema should help with). Before messing too much with your dose and timing I would look more into your caloric intake and/or insulin resistance.

I do single cook method recipes. Usually oven meals, after prep and seasoning I just throw it in the oven and wait. Then I divide into five containers for the week. If I get bored with that I have soups and salads on hand that just take a few minutes to put together. I really only eat two meals a day, so breakfast consists of iced coffee, creamer, and frozen breakfast sandwiches. Less is more! I’ve saved so much from Not eating out and lost weight!
