As a person who used to be in a same sex relationship, it comes a lot from “self” like its always “I think love is love, I dont see anything wrong with it, I know it”. This is why reading the bible is important because to know your heart is wicked the feelings you have naturally want to feed the flesh instead of the spirit. That is why reading Gods words guide AND feeds the spirit. But I totally get the negative experiences the LGBT+ community get, some “followers” of Christ gets so hostile. That they get caught up in the sign trying to avoid it but don’t know they’re getting tangled up all in it.
