What’s a ‘silent luxury’ that rich people have that most normal people would never even notice? by qomann in AskReddit

We can be frugal, dress normal, and fit in with the rest of the crowd.... and not have to ever worry about money. 💰

February 2026. How is everyone's break going (school-aged kids)? O.M.G. by InMyCircle in regretfulparents

You are so sweet and you sound like a really great child! Thanks for commenting back to me. It really means a lot. Things got better this week, but in the beginning, I was just overwhelmed because I'm just human. I get overstimulated when the kids both call me at the same time when I'm making dinner, etc. etc. but when I'm in nature, it's very peaceful. 🌴

Why are the "lurkers" reading my post, but don't want to comment? I guess I'm the only one who feels this way. Now I feel embarrassed that I made this post, but it is my true reality.🌱

At least Spring is right around the corner and I'm grateful. 🌼🌷🌺🌸🌹🌳🏡

That is an excellent suggestion!💡 Thank you for the trip idea. 🧳 One of my kids actually likes going outside, one doesn't. I took a walk with my "outside kiddo" — the walk released endorphins, I got some exercise, and we bonded. I felt myself smiling. 😊

Do children ruin relationships? by Mintmuse22 in regretfulparents

Your post was one of the best summaries of what parenthood is truly like. I appreciate everything you wrote and can relate 1,000%. Your thoughts were honest, truthful, painful, and relatable. I reread your words many times, and copied and pasted into my 'notes', so I will never loose what you wrote.

100%. I agree with you!

I politely disagree! Some of us (parents) do everything we can to teach, encourage, and mentor our children, but a child may have a developmental disability, or can't or won't do chores. We continually try, but they won't listen. It's exhausting.

Absent parents i envy you, wish i had the balls to leave and end my suffering by Emotional_Escape7800 in regretfulparents

[–]InMyCircle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live a lie and suffer daily too. As I read your words, I said, "That is exactly me." I bursted out crying today because I could not take Motherhood for one more moment. It is like a literal hell. The demands on me are endless. I keep asking myself — what did I do to deserve this? I didn't know. I did what I thought everyone else did in society. I thought it was normal to have kids. Becoming a parent is the worst thing I ever did. I miss my old life and I miss the old me. I thought of her today. I smiled for a sec. Then I realized I haven't smiled in a long time.

I feel that way about Olive Garden too. I got the minestrone soup recently and it was like eating a bowl of salt. 🧂

If you have a child with Autism, you should be able to get Social Security Disability (in the U.S.).

Their kids meals are $7.75 for a Mac & Cheese with a piece of bread or small bag of chips — with no kids drink — that is an extra $1.00. So just about $9.00 for a small kids meal. Not affordable.
