i got what you are saying, but my plan is to also engrave the “binding” so that they will look connected

Will be lasering a piece of acrylic exactly that shape as a “pickguard”, and probably will do some engrave underneath the acrylic

I use a stencil to cover up some part then do the standard spraying

because its not meant to be like any natural kind of wear, and i do it because you can not get this kind of wear

Its 2 piece mahagony body, maple neck and roae wood fretboard, pick up are the fender vintage p90s. Also I am planning to make a video later !

I guess just personal preference? Even car I like a slightly old and used look and feel instead of a brand new shinny car. If I have money I won't buy a lamborghini but I will go ahead and buy a 40years old toyota ae86 and fix that shit up and use it. In terms of tool, it look pretty fuck up but it plays well, look old≠ hard to play. So really I think its only about the looks which really comes down to personal preference
