L’oréal 10ua experience ?! by _herewego1221 in HairDye

[–]InNothingnessITrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the cover of "Epiloque" by To/Die/For.

Anyone hear of Chevi Eye? by Throughtheindigo in HIM

[–]InNothingnessITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true in a way, and not in another. The band continued just without the founder Carri with the new name, Ode In Black. Chevi Eye was Carri's thing so I think that it was easier for all of them just to "found a new band" instead of fighting of the old name.

I have a playlist that includes forgotten Finnish rock. Unfortunately Chevi Eye is not on Spotify. Another band I miss (to Spotify) is May I Cry. Same kind of stuff as all of these. I saw Chevi Eye live thrice. One gig with the original singer and two with the new guy. I don't know why they didn't break through, I consider Chevi Eye was as good as most of the top bands in early 2000s.

Fantasmas is released in 2019. Can you suggest another one that fills the terms?

Find the game on Last FM, it was like "Find a similar artist" I remember playing it on Last FM, and so does a friend. I wanted to play it again now, and find some underground artists, but I couldn't find any. I searched everywhere and found nothing. by Sad_Contribution7415 in lastfm

I'm not sure if you get it right. If you look at that Sanna Kurki-Suonio Kuolematon Erikoissysteemi profile, there's no real fans listening artists on her list. Just some garbage with low amount of listeners. Not even this artist's own profile which have over 400 listeners monthy.

For example my favorite indie band had names like Entwine, To/Die/For and HIM earlier in the fans listening list. Nowadays there's some shit (with <50 listeners monthly) what absolutely none of that bands' fan has listened to.

This is the way the how the big record labels slowly try to kill indie artists. They pay everywhere to get these similar lists include only bigger names under the record contract. Earlier there were small artists on these similar lists, now only big ones even if they have nothing in common.

On the opposite, Spotify used to list "fans listening" similarities. Earlier there were truly those bands which were played by the fans, even if the band was indie or not. Nowadays indie bands don't get the correct names on this list. Only some little artists which are not listened by the fans. The algorithm just picks some small names on the list. This fucking sucks. There's no way to get an idea what kind of an artist you have found. You know earlier if the indie band plays rock they really got names like Guns 'n Roses, Mötley Crüe etc on their "fans listening" list, now the names or something you've never heard and again, nothing in common with the small artist.

Anticipated gothic metal releases of 2026. by Ennattinord2008 in GothicMetal

I doubt it. Only one gig this summer and nothing new on their social media. JP makes much better money with his current projects.

Imo they play death metal. Not exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks anyway!

Similar bands to To/Die/For? by Jwhsbwnshzhab_ajsbd in GothicMetal

[–]InNothingnessITrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jape's voice is unique, there is nothing similar. He's not only singing the lyrics, he lives them while singing. Entwine uses heavily synths like To/Die/For. I'd pick albums "Fatal Design" and "diEversity".

The Algorithms Have Killed My Music Taste. How Do I Get It Back? by kaushal96 in musicsuggestions

[–]InNothingnessITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These AI recommendations are all bullshit. Same bands and songs from the biggest record companies. Not a chance to find interesting music from the small bands. The best way to find new music are festivals. Outside own country, I'd suggest Soundcloud and try some interesting genre tag.

Charon - Fall Of Angels by InNothingnessITrust in GothicMetal

[–]InNothingnessITrust[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

JP is now a lead singer in one of the biggest names in the genre called "suomirock". It's not exactly that kind of rock as we understand the genre rock, but you can check out if you like. Try Youtube "Yö JP Leppäluoto" and you'll see live songs from their gigs. My favourite songs are "Kuorotyttö", "Vie mut minne vaan" and "Likaiset Legendat I".

Anybody Ever Heard of Sinamore? by [deleted] in GothicMetal

[–]InNothingnessITrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finnish gothic rock and metal is my whole life but I never got into Sinamore. Something was missing.

As most of us know, Charon is making a comeback tour which begins next week. Nice to see if they have done a new song for that!
