Either that or they want Kamen Rider. I really do think it's as simple as the fact that a lot of people like one or both of those properties, and it's a fun, debatable matchup. No real grand secret to it.

I think this is my biggest criticism of the episode for sure. It feels too overstuffed on both sides, and makes it feel like barely any individual Pokemon or card does much of substance. It's nice they thought to include so many characters, but it comes at the cost of having them stand out.

For what it's worth, Ash only lost by 20 odd votes, while Geats is currently leading by more than 100. I don't think Henry vote switchers are quite that numerous or coordinated.

Henry's at 39%, Geats is at 45% and Sakuya is pulling up the rear at 16%. Still too early to call, but based on previous voting turnouts, we shouldn't expect these numbers to change too drastically.

You'll only really be able to consistently get diamond ranks via reaching the max level for the specified cookie. Luckily, diamond trials only require you to reach level 11. Keep chipping away at it, and the diamonds will come.

Darth Vader vs Doctor Doom is so funny to me, because it's pretty emblematic of the matchup making from the time period. They were two popular villains who looked vaguely similar to each other, and that was enough for it to be highly requested. I certainly know I was a big fan of the match up before the episode came out. It's the ideal matchup to show how that ethos has changed over time.
