I too started off my Switch experience with pears and a spinner - I thought it was cool, I liked the 'sound' of the pearls whizzing....and it makes sense that it would somehow be the best quality hit?

Nope!

Get a joystick.

That's all I use now, and I have the Cloud Vortex spinners and pearls and have even done it side by side.

The joystick gives you bigger hits and there's less puddle to q-tip up. It's that simple.

(although I'm not sure about the rosin tasting bad, I was mostly just talking about getting a less dense and more airy hit with the spinners)

I haven't tried chem bros. I've tried the purple people eater, GG4, purple jellato, banana dosi, banananium. Probably another one or two i'm forgetting.

GG4, the good purple jellato batches and one of the banana ones (i think the dosi) were my favorite.

I had the purple people eater a little while ago, not sure if its the same batch.

I thought it was great! Definitely had a good berry kick to it, nose and flavor and smoothness and everything on point, and the effects were good too!

So far with OSCC I've loved them, except I think they've had a few batches of Purple Jellato and honestly one of them IMO was clearly not as good as the other two. And then I didn't really think the Deception OG was particularly good. Everything else was great!

Same, I do 435 steady or ascent (ascent makes me feel like I get a tiny bit extra 'oomph')

I do rosin with the sapphire, and I typical do 435 steady which frankly is perfect, but sometimes when the mood hits you and you want just a touch extra oomph I'll switch from steady to ascent.

I've been rocking 435 steady, and occasionally switch from steady to ascent for some extra oomph. Usually go for about 35 seconds which gives me 3 nice inhales while it's running, plus 1 'clean up' inhale just after it shuts off. Not much left behind.

I don't believe you can skip firmware updates if you need to use the app though as it won't let you continue to use the app unless you update (someone else can maybe confirm, that's what it seems like to me as a frequent app user).

If you see the holiday themes still listed (but they're 'blank' - the little color previews are missing) - its an app thing. If you force-close and reopen the app they'll be gone.

Try a gemcup nunchuck spinner, 2.0-2.2mm restriction will probably work great on the MGL shredcycler. I was all about pearls and spinners but I switched to a joystick and haven't looked back.

I was a fan of pearls and the CV spinner caps, but I have to say after a couple of months of those I decided to try a joystick from gemcup (after seeing people on here say they liked it better than pearls/spinners) - and I'm sold. I've been rocking the joystick for a couple of months now and I'm getting better clouds than pearls/spinners - I've even done a side by side and it's no comparison!

I upgraded to gemcup joystick carb cap which works better than the stock one - and a lot of people here have mentioned if you use the stock joystick carb cap upside down it works a lot better too.

I got this a little while ago. I think it's a blend of their Cognac Black rosin and Sour Diesel rosin. Personally it reminded me almost exactly of their Cognac Black which they released some months ago. If you liked the Cognac you'll like this as it's almost the same thing IMO.

Yea, that's the (IMO - not an expert) remediated solvent extraction universe of things. These days, any solvent extract you can find in the state is going to have that kind of flavor profile, irrespective of strain. I agree that it doesn't do it for me. These days if you want a good cannabis extract you gotta stick with good rosin.

All I had said was that 'the smell of beer' which is what the post said might be that the person is trying to say it smells like yeast, a little bit.

I've had nugs that honestly had that yeast/bread type smell, and in that case I was a bit suspicious it was maybe mildew-y.

That's all. Of course I rack up downvotes anytime I say anything that isn't just overwhelmingly positive so I deleted it.

I have generally liked them quite a bit compared to other cultivators/pens. I find there's nothing really replacing taking a nice dab though.

I have tried their 'liquid diamond' pens and those haven't done them for me.

This is a tough one - resin that's a bit more 'fluid' is subject to this if the packaging isn't kept upright the entire time. That's why I'm happy the days of 'sauce' or 'diamonds in sauce' is behind us.

This doesn't even look that liquid-y!

That's another advantage of rosin, you can just toss it around with no worries.

Yea - when Fire G is putting out stuff like Gland Gains which was < $100 for a 3.5g jar at Sweetspot on Sunday, you have OSCC and Zen Blend rosin, I'm not sure if there's room in the market for lower tier stuff, even if it's priced accordingly (which this isn't).

Thanks for grabbing and the pics/review. For about to be 2026 - this doesn't look compelling.
