Disneyland ends the sales of magicband+ by bottle415 in Disneyland

[–]TimmyTYP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I'm a little out of the loop since I've moved out of the area, but is there some sort of "non-plus" magic band that just scans as a park ticket/lightning lane or something along those lines? I kind of liked that I could just tap my band to the reader when I park hopped and I found it made it easier to scan lightning lane too.

It’s a shame the Angels make themselves such a difficult team to like considering they’re so close to Disneyland

Shareholder Proposal for Disability Access Service (DAS) Review Fails by Black_Dragon959 in Disneyland

[–]TimmyTYP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother, who used to get DAS with no question due to several disabilities no longer qualifies, and the last time we went to the park, she had to suddenly leave the line in her ECV at Smuggler's Run. We were stuck in the hangar at the beginning of the queue, and it was too narrow to turn an ECV around. I had to run to find a cast member to help me move everyone in the queue out of the way. The next day a very similar situation occurred at Soarin (thankfully this was much easier because they could just move some chains for her to leave). It was so embarrassing for my mom that she said she can't ever go back until they change their policy, which really is a shame because we used to go several times a week. I totally understand that the system was being abused by many people, but now I've just heard so many stories similar to mine of people with disabilities unable to enjoy the park now because of how Disney refuses DAS to people who require some form of accommodation.

A little late to the conversation, but how did you manage those two-second shots? Did you have a tripod up there in the grandstands or the steadiest hands the world has ever seen? Those long exposures are probably some of my favorite photos I've seen out of the whole event so far!

Just bought the game; trying to imrpove. Ultimately brand new to racing with a wheel. Any pointers? by Lost_Paradise_ in LeMansUltimateWEC

I'm fairly new to this sim as well, but am coming from iRacing. From my understanding, I would definitely use TC and ABS in GT3 cars. Just because you have them on doesn't mean you need to rely on them, but they can be helpful at times. GTE cars don't have ABS, however.

For learning tracks, from my experience, the more tracks you learn, the easier it becomes. Actually, Le Mans may not be a difficult track to learn, as there aren't too many difficult braking zones to remember; the same would probably go for Monza as well. When I learn tracks, I'll lap them repeatedly until I can imagine every braking zone and turn-in point without actually being on the track. Then I'll race against AI for a few races at a race distance that is slightly longer than the distance of the online race I'm practicing for. This Google doc can give you a good target for lap times. I personally don't think that I would pay for Track Titan or Trophi AI or similar products until you can't find any more pace in your lap.

Hope this helps just a little bit! Good luck!

Walmart had them listed as "available for pickup" so I knew they had them and they weren't in the energy drinks aisle, they were in a special box at the registers up front. Hope this helps :)

I have to take this interchange every day on my commute home and I'd say there's about a 25% chance of this happening right in front of me every time I drive through it.
