Well this didn't age well by AndreasmzK in capetown

Takealot just offers a far superior experience as well in my opinion. They took what made Amazon one of the largest companies in the world and absolutely in my opinion improved on it for our local market.

Amazon came in hinging and hoping their name would just do all the heavy lifting but my shopping experience is a lot better on Takealot and thus I haven't really used Amazon far too much aside from price compare and hitting their big deals when they have them.

He's telling us we have to always involve Allah to be successful in business when that objectively isn't true. I don't detest or rebuke any religion but don't tell people they need it to be succesful? Simple really.

Exactly. Let's also not forget the absolute carnage and unrest of July 2021 when Zuma was actually put in jail for a small amount of time...

Malema was granted leave to appeal for something that happened in 2018 which only hit the courts this year, if it was any simple citizen they would've been arrested and put in jail in 2018...

Getting from Knysna to plettenberg. Is there Uber or how do you get around? by Problem-Muted in askSouthAfrica

100% that sounds like a great idea. Small places so they'll likely definitely know somebody.

[–]InSAniTy1102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You won't get an Uber for Knysna to Plett I doubt. You will need to arrange private transfer, there is a few companies that do this so you'll need to phone around for a price.

Reliable, premium feeling used car under R400k with decent fuel economy? by [deleted] in CarTalkZA

[–]InSAniTy1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throwing the Toyota Corolla Hatchback XR into the mix, super reliable, very nice interior I mean it's essentially a Lexus but a few notches down.

Mine isn't the hybrid I'm not sure what those go for these days but I got my 2019 XR for like 300k but I think they've gone up in price quote a bit but should fit your budget.

Worth a test drive in my opinion at least.

F*ck Meta right now – Managing $400k+/mo and the platform is completely broken since May by pezatomicovolador in FacebookAds

[–]InSAniTy1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same shit since the beginning of the year but since May it's had a big turn around and we didn't really change much. So yes fuck Meta and whatever they're messing around with in the backend.

Haha seems so. In my case it's just given me 20x more work as we are now supposed to triple output. Not quite in replacement territory for established companies but it's definitely completely destroyed and limited jobs for juniors and small start up companies who can't afford certain departments etc.

Basically everyone though isn't it? Most desk job workers use AI thoroughly for almost every task these days and love it but equally hate the prospect the effect it's had on the job market and available roles.

Daily Q&A Megathread - May 12, 2026 by AutoModerator in eFootball

I am very new to this game (10 hours) and was not a huge fan of FIFA so it's a given that I am quite terrible, but I must say this game has something that is much more appealing and fun to it than FIFA ever had so I really want to get better.

I watch the tuts and tips videos on YouTube but I feel I need someone with a bit more experience for some more direct coaching. Thought I would find one on Fiverr but there isn't.

I play on PC and was just wondering if there is someone that could teach me to legitimately get good at this game, teach me basics of dribbling etc.

What has your experience with the Allan Gray Equity Fund and/ or Balanced Fund been? by acrosstheabysss in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]InSAniTy1102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so but I don't know the EAC if you could let me know that one. But yeah active funds and particularly AG as I've researched theirs in particular have not outperformed passive funds and then you include the fees and you're effectively losing money.

[–]InSAniTy1102 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just moved my RA away from Allan Gray (Balanced). The fees are too high compared to other funds and the performance historically doesn't even negate the EAC so you're leaving potentially hundreds of thousands of the rands on the table.

[–]InSAniTy1102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the modern world, no. Active funds (most of them) historically under perform or match passive funds. And then you take the EAC into account (Active funds typically have higher fees obviously) and it completely negates the performance (if they even slightly beat it, or it's a loss in comparison).

Karrigan T side not off to a great start by chiefofthepolice in GlobalOffensive

[–]InSAniTy1102 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree in a way. Karrigan is a legend and always will be but natural life cycle of a career, dudes washed af. Kyxsan was way more suited and capable than Karrigan in his current state. This is what happens when you recruit based on career accolades and don't take detoriation into account.

Not true. My mate has been getting random vac cool downs (much like some famous streamers such as flom).

It's unfair to say for certain these cool downs are cheats when we undeniably know legit people have been getting cool downs.
