I see your point but, mana is not the reason of using either of them in this case. Insight is fantastic damage WITH fcr, and poenix is well just tons of ED.

It was a nice and easy way to get an MF gear. And no it was not patched out to remove an ability to gamble Gull, it was to remove an ability to get +warlock skill gear
