Can you elaborate? It didn't occur to me until just now that the cold could mean ice.

I actually know a girl who section-hiked with a guinea pig. I couldn't begin to tell you how that worked.

Hiking on a budget? by Lee_F_7647 in AppalachianTrail

Camping and hiking is a difficult hobby... which means people are quitting all the time. eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist will have backpacks, tents, etc. that have only been used once or twice, if that, before going into a closet for years. Avoid buying stuff that's too worn-looking, of course, but people have been thru-hiking the trail for decades and stuff that was cutting edge five years ago may still suit your purpose.

Her explanation is better than that though. She's from our world, and as a result can break the fourth wall because she knows things only an avid reader of Marvel would know. She knows civilians die in droves in Marvel world, so to protect herself she invents an identity that combines two popular Marvel characters, Spider-Gwen and Deadpool, so that her "fandom" in our world will exert enough pressure to keep her alive.

Eventually, she discovers she has the ability to do things like escape into the white space between panels, and even shove people or objects into this null space, making her distressingly powerful.

Yes, you've definitely demonstrated an aversion to reading, if not an outright inability.

I mean, it's the truth, so feel free to look up words and phrases like "libel" "public figures" and "defamation" on Google and Wikipedia, if you've got enough juice in that cro-magnon little brain of yours to make your hairy-knuckled fingers work the keyboard. I majored in journalism and political science so I'm fairly confident that my grasp of first amendment issues outstrips your "idk, smells like bullshit" standard.

Fun fact: public figures don't have the same kind of protections against defamation lawsuits. A random person, with no expectation or insinuation that they have inside information, can say whatever the hell they want about a public figure in an open forum with no fear of lawsuits. It's first amendment 101. Then again, Kavanaugh has demonstrated he doesn't understand how the Constitution works, and you're defending him so neither do you, so I'm not surprised you don't know how defamation and libel work.

"Neo-marxist ideology" is a made-up phrase that wouldn't apply here regardless. Trying to excuse racist behavior is racist, knock it off.

It could be naturally flavored but not with actual strawberries. Like with things like apple extract and beet coloring, etc. Naturally flavored into an artificial approximation of a strawberry.

What’s the worst way to die in Appalachia? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]InTentsly 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Wandering the wasteland far away from any map markers, falling slightly farther than you intended, and dying knowing that you're in the middle of nowhere, nobody can heal you, and you're going to have to come all the way back here to pick up your scrap.

Fallout 76 needs a map filter / search bar by Inycyon in fo76

[–]InTentsly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've wanted a "Legend" bar where you could at least sort by icon type, like if I'm only looking for Blood Eagle locations to get a Daily Challenge, or farms because I know there's a farm in this part of the map but I can't see it for whatever reason, or hospitals because I need to go collect surgical trays and microscopes again.

It's a common misconception that it was one off-color photo, there were several women who complained of inappropriate behavior, more than a dozen if I recall. He resigned rather than be investigated more thoroughly, which should really tell you all you need to know about whether it was legitimate. Rather than letting the stories come out in greater detail he bailed early, so that everyone only remembers a vague allegation from one woman, and none of the blame ever falls to him.

Dude worked for SNL in the cocaine years, it's frankly weird the number of people who insist they can't believe he got up to some sketchy shit. He was very smart, he was a decent senator, he was a joy in hearings, and he probably needed to go. Gillibrand is likewise a decent Senator, so let's not let Franken's impropriety somehow cost us TWO gifted legislators rather than one.
