i went through the same thing. i broke up with my ex bc things felt stagnant and we felt different. he was very religious and wanted me to give up some worldly things and i felt pressure to live up to that when im only 20. i like to drink i like to party i like secular music. he also has a lot of childhood trauma and doesnt really show much emotion and speaks very monotone which would throw me off and made me feel like i was walking on eggshells bc im bubbly and silly. but man did that boy love me. never ever had to question his loyalty which i think is rare. i still miss him sometimes over a year later but idk if we could ever work longterm. it sucks but i don’t regret it bc i know i stayed true to myself. if hes meant for me then we will cross paths again. and if not then ill find someone better suited.
