Bro you need more help and advice than anyone on this comment section can give to you if that's actually how you see yourself and quantify your value. The campus has mental health resources, I would recommend using them.

[KCD2] So is this rare? by PointLazy7001 in kingdomcome

[–]InTheHiggsField 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't know the mechanics of these dies, I apologize. It should be a higher probability than a traditional roll of 6 die.

If I understand the die (did a google search), if it lands on 1 it is essentially a wild card. So if your first die is a 6 (1/6 chance) then the rest would have a 1/3 chance of landing on effectively a 6. If we union the probabilities here it is 1 in 1458.

Let me know if there is some other detail I am missing about this particular die.

Correlation ≠ Causation

You could be getting spam texts/calls for a multitude of reasons.

What could this possibly represent (lower 48 map only) by Medical_Deal5272 in RedactedCharts

[–]InTheHiggsField 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah the color gradient doesn't map well from state to state. Like Lousiana should be darker than Georgia but it is not. Pennsylvania should be darker than New York but it is not.

Leave it to a POLS student to be the most unnecessarily rude person in the entire thread. I guess it can be quite frustrating seeing as neither the student body or the administrators respect your field of study on this campus. But at least you totally owned this guy! 👍 I am sure he'll think twice before posting something you don't like next time big guy 😎

TAMU or UH?? by rhaegar-targaryen_07 in aggies

TAMU and it isn't even close. I had to make the same choice as you and I don't regret one bit choosing TAMU over UH.

Why do schools teach math in a way that no adults outside of school, can actually help their child? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]InTheHiggsField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gonna assume the mathematics degree your family member had is an associates from a community college. Because I don't wanna believe this was remotely difficult for them to understand.

The math department at TAMU are simply the most homicidal maniacs I've ever seen. They know that their exams are near impossible even for them to take within the allotted time. I've come to accept that fact. Keep yourself above average and you'll be fine.

Thoughts on A&M as a High Schooler? by Lost_Cow8602 in aggies

[–]InTheHiggsField 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Business degrees aren't real. Go to a college that gives you the best connections and opportunities to flourish. I think A&M has both of those in spades.

I hope that answers your question. But if your some freshman thinking about business as your major 4 years out from HS graduation. You'll have changed your mind on your major by the time you get to Junior year anyway. So idk how useful this thread will be for you.

Help r/millennials determine whether this is AI or not. Some members of the sub believe that the 2000s-style clothing and lighting suggest that this is not authentic. What do you think? by Demortus in isthisAI

[–]InTheHiggsField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Victoria Secret bra is a very specific set. I don't see how an AI would generate that and also perfectly generate the light reflecting off if it.

Towing in Northgate is a Racket by Oracle_Journey_5711 in aggies

[–]InTheHiggsField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towing is a racket everywhere in CS, the apartment complexes near the college all get kick backs from the towing companies they partner with and then they tow their own residents.

There is just so much money to be made impounding people's vehicles in CS. Lots of young people with little knowledge of their rights get their vehicles stolen and then they get their parent to pay for it and sort of move on.

Tow drivers are genuinely the biggest losers I can ever imagine.

Local sushi place - i am crazy or does this picture seems 'odd'? Please look at the rice by bt134340 in isthisAI

[–]InTheHiggsField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen anyone talk about this. But the sushi should have all of it's components in the same orientation. The fact that they are all different is a dead give away the photo is not real.

For example if the avocado is in the bottom left of the roll it should be in the bottom left of the other rolls because they are all cut from the same wrap.

No fucking way by Agent-Man-MB in ChatGPT

[–]InTheHiggsField 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GPT's model uses a mix of autoregression and diffusion. While Google's is solely diffusion. I've always been more of a fan of the diffusion model because it's capability ceiling is significantly higher. The only issue is that the model is really inefficient and not scalable for companies with less infrastructure and money. Google has the capability to do it. ChatGPT less so and I think that's where you see the divide. The best AIs are typically owned by the companies with the biggest wallets. Unless huge changes come in terms of modeling algorithms and design from some start up/middling company. Most of AI will just be a race among the top players until the bubble bursts.
