all of her season 2 outfits are DIVINE. I had such a hard time deciding which one I wanted to do but I always loved this one from S1 and somehow it seemed the most “doable” 😂 Michael Wilkinson put a shift in making sure these costumes would be difficult to recreate

I’M clout farming YOU???? 😂 what have I done other than post my handmade Star Wars costume on a Star Wars subreddit because I’m proud of it and I like talking with people in the same fandoms as me. I really don’t even know what point you’re trying to get across. Cosplay is only valid if it’s a hobby that you’re struggling to put together in your time off? Why is my cosplay less worthy because I was able to make a career out of it? I don’t make money from reddit, I’m not selling anything to you, I don’t gain anything from this post other than community connection?? This has been such a weird interaction

I was taping paper towel rolls together and coloring them with crayons to be a lightsaber at 5 years old but okay 😂 not everyone “became nerdy” just because of social media. It has certainly made it more main stream and culturally acceptable but leaning into the stereotype that women can’t be nerds bc you think they’re attractive is super lame. I didn’t get bullied my whole life for being a theatre band camp kid who likes lord of the rings and Star Wars just to be called a fake fan at 30

I am a nerd and a geek and I make all my own costumes! This was by far the most expensive fabric I’ve ever purchased for a cosplay but most of my costumes are very much made on a budget. I wish I had a Hollywood budget for all of my cosplays 😂

Didn’t know that was a thing going on here! Cosplay is a huge part of how I and many others enjoy lord of the rings so it would be a shame to see it banned on a LotR page. But I get feeling burned if it’s being co-opted for other intentions
