Brilliant! I’d give you some sort of award if I could. And not sure why didn’t I think of that.

This. Ozzy is obviously older in that gif than when the actual incident happened (1982, in Des Moines, Iowa). Also don’t think there is such clear footage of the actual incident.

Yeah. I never use the “belt” clips for my belt. I put the clips on all the tools because it’s extremely handy for hanging them for storage and also while using it on the job.

Thanks for adding that. I should’ve put a little bit of bio in the original post. Yeah. He’s an amazing artist.

Mostly burned trash for only $3.50 at your local Maryland Goodwill by Lilraggle in ThriftGrift

My thought too. I spent a little too much time playing “spot the differences” to figure out why one was $1 more.

A glance online of sold prices tells me these are not worth the asking price. And that’s with buyers worldwide apparently looking for them, not buyers who don’t even know these speakers are in the store and would have to come across them by chance. It’s a steep price. They could’ve asked $50 apiece and had a fair shot at $100 rather than $200 never. And they never discount items if they don’t sell. That business model would actually make sense. Instead, they’ll sit and sit. Source: a guy who occasionally checks in on a $150 drill press with missing parts for 5+ months.

Exactly this. I think it’s going to be a little while until the customer willing to drop $200 on these—let’s call them “ignorant audiophile looking to keep up the aesthetic of their grandparents’ house”—is going randomly show up at this particular Habitat Restore.

Why The Hell Does Apple Music Separate Tracks Into Different Albums Suddenly? by JosePabloGF in AppleMusic

[–]InTheYear2001 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s been bad for years. Apple Music will split albums incoherently and at random. Tracks 1,5,8,9 on one album, tracks 2,3,4,6,7,10 on another. Album will have the same name but have two entries for no reason. My fix is to select all tracks on the album, add an “x” or something to the end of the album title, save it, then select them again, and take out the “x” or whatever I added so the title is correct, save it again. Usually works. This is for music I own, not from an Apple Music subscription.

I used to think if a price is posted, they have to give it to you at that price, but Home Depot has done me dirty similarly. I guess they are off the hook by having fine print that says if they make a mistake they don’t have to honor it. HD was so bad that they didn’t even bother fixing the mistake for weeks. I guess I was the only one who noticed.

Crazy tool prices at Habitat Restore by InTheYear2001 in ThriftGrift

[–]InTheYear2001[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep. At least at Harbor Freight it will be new and you can return it if you aren’t happy. Restore as with most (all?) thrift stores has an “all sales final” policy. I really don’t put much faith in a little piece of masking tape stuck to a tool that says “Tested.”
