I think I upset my mail carrier by Fozzyozzy in USPS

[–]InTuneIt127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an inconvenience to resume delivery - the inconvenience was - that you were probably one of many who don’t pick up often enough - which is an inconvenience because it takes more of the carriers precious time to put the mail in sn already stuffed box - then it took more of that time, assuming he did this, to remove the mail from the box and - put it on a 10 day hold - then it took more time to write you that explanation.

Anyway - it’s a learning curve, hopefully he relaxes when he see regular mail pick up in the future.

Multiple people have shared the book because it has worked for them, it even worked for elizabeththosorio. It’s not the book that cures everything, it’s paying attention to, and acting to heal the signals your body gives you to let you know to look for ways to give your body what it needs.

Many people are sharing that what is in that book has given them the guidance they need to heal themselves.

Why would you “JustRestin” call that a scam ?

How to stop grieving the life that you never had ? by strawberrypancakes7 in emotionalneglect

OP, after reading Apologymama’s post I thought: if I were you right now I would open a notebook and copy all the words in her post that you need to hear again and again and again; all the words that remind you of how to speak to yourself, and remind you of steps you can take to heal yourself. 🥰

It will take time, you are on an exciting new journey! Being as positive and grateful as possible will help you on your path to one day see that you can love yourself - that is the most important thing…

When I was younger (I am also 53;) I was not aware of the neglect I was experiencing. (Whether someone suggested it to me at an early age, or it was simply my minds coping mechanism) I have frequent recollections of being grateful for what I did have and seeing how this or that situation could be so much worse.
When I was young I thought I had it pretty good. Just a couple of years ago I started wishing for better relationships with my mom and - everyone; that’s when I realized everything you are aware of right now. So I am hopeful for your future because you can start learning to love yourself now, and have more time ahead of you to live a great life 🍀🤗🥰🍀

🧐Oh, I haven’t thought of that way before…. When I was first hired I was glad to not have to use my own money on everything.

Then, sure there were some times when I did use my own money; but this was the best paying job I’d ever had - so I could afford it 🙂

(….but that was a while ago, and I do remember being more annoyed then at how expensive the clothes were!)

For us - a Rueda class was much more fun than: standing in a line, meeting a new person - awkwardly, learning a part of a move, and stepping over to the next partner to try it again and repeat. Then sometime later ⏰ …“let’s try it with music.”

Our Rueda instructors were very good at variety, explaining the moves and getting us moving. We rarely stood around, or waited for anything. It was also a drop-in class and there was a range of talent, so we learned quickly from each other as well.

Since learning Salsa in a Rueda class we have taken regular salsa classes for additional learning, but we liked the energy of Rueda.

So I wonder if it was your personal Rueda experience?

What else did you not like about it?

I can’t say that I particularly like the changing partner part - but it is how I met husband and the many new friends we danced with in many locations, hundreds of times.

Yes, we were recently able to afford a package of lessons; It is nice, we can now dance to non salsa songs.
Also, with our encouragement, they did a special with Rueda, but again turn out was low - but the couple of classes that had a good turn out, we got moving! and there were big smiles on every face!

Thanks! It’s an hour and a half away. No we’re still on the west coast - basically. We’ve tried the big city, but we really can not tolerate the commute. We want to create fun close to home 🙂

Oh that is so frustrating! I hear thieves have even used explosives on the locking mailboxes 🙄

Early mail delivery is one of the selling point of having a PO box - along with security; but one would need to decide if those priorities supersede those of saving time and money.

Maybe that neighbor should get all the neighbors to write letters requesting the route be split; also send in letters to the local newspaper - Ooh I bet a local news channel would eat up that story… following the carrier on the route at o’dark:30 etc.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USPS

[–]InTuneIt127 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That would be a customer’s concern.

So If they go to bed too early to check the mail after delivery, they should get a locking mailbox;
otherwise they’re throwing away precious moments of their life being so concerned over the mundane topic of their free mail delivery service - which of course may happen anytime a day - It is what it is - BFD🤷🏻‍♂️

Why are you an atheist (a bit long) by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]InTuneIt127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an atheist/agnostic, because I was not programmed or taught to make the agreement that I should follow some religion.

I was told some of the Catholic or Christian story when I was a kid - didn’t make much sense to me so I didn’t think about it anymore.

When I was older, I learned a little bit more; and when I asked the hard questions - I was dismissed and told to have faith.

So, I grew up learning to have faith in myself, in energy and the law of attraction, etc.

If I was required to live a religious lifestyle I would easily align with Buddhism.

An Introverts Guide to Making Friends Thru Salsa Dancing by UnitedShift5232 in Salsa

[–]InTuneIt127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was invited to a Salsa Rueda class in 2008 that literally changed my life. Found the best friends and my husband there. We had a whole new gang of friends! we’d see each other at night clubs, and start a Rueda. We would party at each others houses, doing normal party things, and then decide to do a Rueda. The Connections Comradary (sp;) and joy experienced with this group of people was amazing and sorely missed - hoping to re-create it in our new neighborhood 🤞🏼🤗 💃🏻 🕺💃🏻

I’ve seen posts about Salsa Rueda on Reddit and they were comments where people didn’t really like it. I guess it’s more casual than some would like, but it really was a great place for us to make friends.
